🇵🇰🇮🇷 RCCI Leadership Participates in the 10th Pakistan-Iran Joint Trade Committee

Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) President Usman Shaukat, along with Vice President Fahad Barlas, attended the 10th Pakistan-Iran Joint Trade Committee (JTC) meeting, organized in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Ministry of Commerce.

The high-level forum aims to further strengthen bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Iran while creating new avenues for business collaboration between the two neighboring countries.

A 22-member official delegation from Iran, accompanied by a 16-member business delegation led by the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, participated in the meeting. The delegation represented key sectors including food, agribusiness, logistics, shipping, transportation, energy, and manufacturing, offering valuable opportunities to enhance private-sector engagement, expand business linkages, and promote mutually beneficial trade and investment.

📈 RCCI Hosts Awareness Session on Conversion of Physical Shares into Book-Entry Form

The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI), in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited (CDC), successfully organized an awareness session on the regulatory framework for the conversion of physical shares into book-entry form for unlisted companies.

Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi chaired the session, which was attended by RCCI Executive Committee members and a large number of chamber members.

The session focused on creating awareness regarding the regulatory requirements under SECP's S.R.O. 328(I)/2026, highlighting the mandatory conversion of physical shares into electronic book-entry form. Experts also briefed participants on the Central Depository System (CDS) eligibility criteria and account setup process. An interactive Q&A session followed, allowing participants to seek clarification on compliance procedures and implementation requirements.

The initiative reflects RCCI's commitment to equipping the business community with the latest regulatory knowledge and promoting corporate compliance through awareness and capacity building.
