Alaqsa Welfare Trust, an NGO based in RAWLAKOT (KASHMIR) is a renowned name in the field of social welfare program. As the name suggests, this organization is run by the people who dare to dream differently, the people who think beyond the bread & butter, the people who think themselves as the “citizens of the world”. And this belief that ‘we are citizens of the world’ has given rise to Alaqsa Welfare Trust. This Blood Donor Society at Rawlakot is a team of highly motivated people who besides being generous donors themselves encourage others to donate blood. The Society maintains a data bank of donors who may be contacted at any time when the need arise. Blood camps are a regular feature at the campus and students, faculty and other employees of the universities donate generously to help those in need. Talking about the people behind this movement, the master mind of this organization is Muhammad Hamid Khan, has spent a lot of his time to the cause of humanity. He is respected in the society for his social endeavors. M Hamid Khan (known as Edhi e Azad Kashmir) had started to take an active interest in social activities from the days of his college since 2000 in Rawalakot Poonch AJK. At that time there was not any organization in Poonch Division Azad Kashmir who donates blood free of cost to needy patients. In this situation Muhammad Hamid Khan decided to establish this trust. He has donated blood 28th times to these innocent Thalassaemia patients. He is also awarded with Trophy and appreciation certificate from Ex- President and Speaker AK. Making this website (www.alaqsatrust.org) is an attempt to bring the people of the Azad Kashmir and Pakistan at one platform to serve a good purpose that is to provide detailed information about a willing blood donor near the place it is needed. We are sure that citizens of the world would associate themselves with this mission and make this world somewhat more communicated. Main Mission
