The Executive Body of Rawalpindi Islamabad Tax Bar Association, under the dynamic leadership of President Ch. Naeem Ul Haq, (ASC) had the distinct honor of calling upon the Honorable Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Ms. Farhat Qayyum, at Regional Tax Office Rawalpindi on May 12, 2026.

During this highly productive and cordial meeting, a comprehensive dialogue was held regarding the pressing issues and practical challenges being encountered by taxpayers as well as tax consultants in the prevailing fiscal and administrative landscape. The discussions reflected a mutual commitment toward strengthening institutional harmony, ensuring procedural facilitation, and promoting transparency and efficiency within the taxation system.

The Honorable Chief Commissioner graciously assured the Executive Body of her office’s full cooperation in fostering a constructive, progressive, and healthy relationship based upon professionalism, mutual respect, and collaborative engagement for the betterment of the tax fraternity and the public at large. The meeting concluded on an optimistic note, reaffirming the shared resolve to enhance stakeholder confidence and improve tax administration through meaningful coordination and continuous consultation.

Rawalpindi-Islamabad Tax Bar Association proudly announces the establishment of the “Hafiz Idris Tax Academy” a dedicated platform aimed at organizing monthly educational and professional seminars for the tax fraternity.

This remarkable initiative stands as a heartfelt tribute to the unparalleled wisdom, mentorship, and lifelong contributions of Hafiz Idris Sahib, whose intellectual and spiritual guidance within the Bar echoes the brilliance and legacy of great scholars like Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi and Imam Al-Ghazali.

The Academy was formally inaugurated by Hafiz Idris Sahib himself, on 7th May, 2026 at RITBA Rawalpindi marking the beginning of a new era of learning, inspiration, professional growth, and excellence for generations to come.

May this institution continue to illuminate minds with knowledge, wisdom, and guidance for many years ahead. Ameen.

An insightful and highly informative seminar on DNFBPs was successfully organised by RITBA under the dynamic leadership of President Ch. Naeem ul Haq (ASC) at the Bar Room for esteemed members of the association and practicing fraternity.

The seminar served as a remarkable platform for professional learning, awareness, and constructive dialogue on the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding DNFBPs.

The Patron-in-Chief of RITBA graced the occasion as the keynote speaker and enlightened the audience with his profound knowledge, practical insights, and valuable guidance on the subject matter.

The session was further enriched by the presence of distinguished guest speaker Mr. Ziaullah Khan, Director DNFBPs RTO Islamabad, who elaborated the topic comprehensively and shared in depth professional understanding with the participants.

The seminar was also honoured by the presence of Mr. Walayat Khan (Commissioner City Zone) and Me. Ali Muhammad (Commissioner With Holding Zone) RTO Rawalpindi, whose participation added immense value to the event and reflected the importance of collaborative knowledge sharing between institutions and the professional community.

President RITBA, along with executive members, called on Director DNFBP Mr. Ziaullah Khan today. A detailed discussion was held regarding the issue, which the President had taken up on priority. The director assured that the matter concerning Lawyers and ITPs would be resolved by today. Alhamdulillah, many members have already received immediate de-attachment, and efforts remain ongoing to resolve the remaining cases.

Naeem Ul Haq, (ASC) along with Vice President Asif Fareed, (AHC & ITP) General-Secretary Hassan Tariq Sheikh, (AHC) and members of the executive body, stood in solidarity with our esteemed senior member and source of pride, Mr. Habib Fakhar Uddin, in connection with a serious matter concerning the Commissioner Jehlum zone at RTO Rawalpindi.

We remain resolute in our commitment to uphold the principles of our profession and to support every member of the Bar. Our collective objective is to preserve the sanctity, dignity, and integrity of the legal profession while fostering a constructive and respectful relationship between the Bar and the Bench.

The Honorable Commissioner was very kind and has assured us that the matter will be thoroughly investigated, and we trust that due process will be followed to ensure justice and transparency.

A momentous and dignified occasion on April 4th, 2026, at the Rawalpindi Gymkhana Club, as the Annual General Meeting and Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected cabinet of the Rawalpindi Islamabad Tax Bar Association was held with great enthusiasm and honor. Esteemed members of the legal and tax fraternity gathered in large numbers to witness this historic event, reflecting unity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Honorable Chairman Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue and respected Members of the Tribunal, adding prestige and significance to the occasion. The newly elected cabinet took their oath with pride and dedication, pledging to serve the association with integrity and diligence.

In recognition of their valuable contributions, shields were also presented to the outgoing cabinet by the Honorable Chairman, acknowledging their dedicated service and leadership.

Such events reinforce the strength, continuity, and shared vision of the legal community, marking yet another milestone in the association’s journey.

آپ کی اطلاع کے لیے نہایت مسرت کے ساتھ عرض ہے کہ ہمارے معزز و محترم وفاقی ٹیکس محتسب (Federal Tax Ombudsman) صاحب 29 جنوری 2026 بوقت 11:00 بجے دن راولپنڈی اسلام آباد ٹیکس بار ایسوسی ایشن (RTO راولپنڈی) میں تشریف لا رہے ہیں۔

یہ امر نہایت قابلِ فخر ہے کہ ہمارے صدر، جناب فراز شیخ ایڈووکیٹ صاحب کی ذاتی درخواست (Personal Request) پر وفاقی ٹیکس محتسب صاحب پہلی مرتبہ پاکستان کی تاریخ میں کسی ٹیکس بار میں تشریف لا رہے ہیں۔

محترم ممبران!
یہ ایک ناقابلِ تردید حقیقت ہے کہ ٹیکس وکلا اور ٹیکس پروفیشنلز کو ہر وقت ٹیکس ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے ساتھ مختلف نوعیت کے مسائل، رکاوٹوں اور ناانصافیوں کا سامنا رہتا ہے۔ اگرچہ ہم اکثر شکایات کرتے رہتے ہیں، مگر ان شکایات کے ازالے کے لیے درست، مؤثر اور آئینی فورم وفاقی ٹیکس محتسب کا ادارہ ہی ہے۔

اسی سلسلے میں وفاقی ٹیکس محتسب صاحب خود ہماری بار میں تشریف لا رہے ہیں تاکہ ممبران اپنی تحریری یا زبانی شکایات (Returns، Orders، Delays، Harassment وغیرہ) براہِ راست پیش کر سکیں اور ان کے فوری و مؤثر حل کی جانب عملی پیش رفت حاصل ہو سکے۔

یہ تمام ممبران کے لیے ایک سنہری، نادر اور تاریخی موقع ہے کہ وہ اپنی مصروفیات میں سے وقت نکال کر لازمی تشریف لائیں اور اس فورم سے بھرپور فائدہ اٹھائیں۔
