Successful Completion of Summit of Service & Skill 2026

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to share that the Summit of Service & Skill 2026, organized by Ismaili Scouts Group Rawalpindi (ISGR) in collaboration with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO), has been successfully concluded at Ayoub Park.

The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 70 Boys Scouts and Rover Scouts, making it a highly engaging and impactful gathering. Throughout the day, participants actively took part in a range of activities including sports, skill-development exercises, and service-oriented engagements, all aimed at fostering teamwork, leadership, and personal growth.

The event served as a strong reflection of scouting values, promoting discipline, unity, and a spirit of service among all participants.

It is with great pride and pleasure to share that Ismaili Scouts Group Rawalpindi (ISGR) and AKYSB Girl Guides Group Rawalpindi has successfully concluded the Founder’s Day and Thinking Day activities.

These meaningful occasions were observed with enthusiasm, discipline, and a strong spirit of unity. The activities were thoughtfully designed to reflect and promote the core values of scouting and guiding leadership, service, teamwork, and community engagement.

It is with immense pride and pleasure that the Ismaili Scouts Group Rawalpindi (ISGR) and AKYSB Girl Guides Group Rawalpindi successfully conducted the first event under the Thinking & Founder Day Activity Plan.

The activity was executed with remarkable dedication, coordination, and team spirit, and included the following key initiatives:

✅ Awareness Setup – Organized displays aimed at promoting knowledge and community awareness.

As part of the educational tour to Taxila, the Scouts of Ismaili Scouts Group Rawalpindi (ISGR) visited Jaulian Buddhist Monastery, an important center of ancient Buddhist monastic life.

During the visit, Scouts explored the monastic living quarters, meditation halls, and learning spaces, gaining insight into the daily life of monks, the educational systems of the time, and ancient meditation practices. Through guided observation and discussion, participants developed an understanding of discipline, focus, and the value of learning in spiritual and cultural contexts. The visit also fostered appreciation for the region’s historical educational heritage and the importance of preserving such ancient sites.

The Ismaili Scouts Group Rawalpindi (ISGR) successfully organized an educational and character-building visit to Taxila for Rovers, Boy Scouts, and Shaheen Scouts, aimed at promoting heritage awareness, leadership development, and experiential learning.

🔹 Educational Highlights:
🔹 Taxila Museum
The visit to Taxila Museum was the central learning experience of the trip. Scouts explored the rich legacy of the Gandhara Civilization, closely observing Buddha statues, ancient coins, sculptures, inscriptions, and archaeological artifacts preserved in the museum. Through guided explanation and discussion, participants gained a deeper understanding of ancient art, religious diversity, historical timelines, and Taxila’s role as a global center of learning and culture. This visit enhanced critical thinking, historical awareness, and respect for Pakistan’s ancient heritage.

🔹 Dharmarajika Stupa
Participants briefly learned about the spiritual importance of Buddhist stupas and ancient religious practices.

🔹 Jaulian Buddhist Monastery
Scouts were introduced to the monastic education system and meditation practices of ancient times.

🔹 Mohra Muradu Monastery
The site offered a calm environment, highlighting the residential monastic lifestyle and encouraging reflection.

We are delighted to share a moment of pride and success ✨
ISGR Boy Scouts Section successfully organized and completed a Sports Day Event last Sunday at Rawal Park. This event was designed to promote not only physical fitness through sports but also the core objectives of Scouting discipline, teamwork, leadership, confidence, and a healthy lifestyle.

A variety of sports activities were conducted, and more than 25 scouts participated with great enthusiasm, energy, and true sportsmanship. The event provided an excellent platform for scouts to showcase their skills, strengthen unity, and practice the values of cooperation and fair play.

This successful Sports Day reflects our commitment to developing active, responsible, and confident young individuals through Scouting. We extend our sincere appreciation to all scouts, leaders, and organizers who made this event memorable and impactful.

The Ismaili Scout Group Rawalpindi ISGR (Boy Scouts Section) successfully conducted its Unit Meeting with the active participation of 40 Boy Scouts, reflecting strong organization, discipline, and enthusiasm.
Key outcomes of the meeting included:
▪️ Patrol formation and reorganization to strengthen teamwork and unit structure
▪️ Selection of Patrol Leaders (PLs) and Assistant Patrol Leaders (APLs) to promote youth leadership
▪️ Appointment of additional leadership roles within the Boy Scouts Section:
   • Sports Lead
   • Media Lead
   • Registration Lead
▪️ Decision to introduce biweekly sports activities to enhance Scout engagement, fitness, and team spirit
▪️ Discussion and planning of upcoming unit programs and activities
▪️ An open forum allowing Scouts to share their ideas, feedback, and expectations from Scouting
The successful conduct of this meeting was made possible through the dedicated efforts, guidance, and commitment of the Section Leaders, whose leadership played a vital role in ensuring effective planning, active participation, and a positive learning environment for the Scouts.
