In a commendable collaboration between the Kashmir Social Welfare organization and the Department of Pharmacy, an Inter-Faculty Speech Competition was successfully held at the University of Poonch, Rawalakot. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across all departments of the university, showcasing their eloquence, intellect, and passion for public speaking.
The esteemed Chief Guest on the occasion was Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf, Registrar of the University of Poonch, while the event was graciously presided over by Dr. Shahid Iqbal Awan, Dean, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
The competition was further graced by the presence of prominent academic figures, including Director of Student Affairs (DSA) Raja Basharat, Chairman of the Department of Pharmacy Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Chairperson of the BEMS Department Dr. Naheed Mumtaz, Assistant Director Student Affairs Dr. Izhar Ullah, Lecturer Dr. Faseel Badshah, Dr. Sobia, and Lecturer Raja Iftikhar Ahmad.
Representing the Kashmir Social Welfare Organization were CEO Dr. Samina Sher Khan, along with Dr. Zoha Sohail, Dr. Anusha Nazir, Dr. Rubia Kamal, Mubah Sher Khan, and Zuhab Qadeer, whose presence added prestige and warmth to the event.
The competition was efficiently organized and managed by a dedicated team comprising Inam ul Haq, Sarim Raees, Zaid Ahmed Zaid, Subbab Ahmed, and Kashif Razzaq.
The panel of judges—Dr. Adnan Rafiq (Chairman, Department of Computer Science), Dr. Nighat Younis, and Ms. Musarrat Saeed—carried out their duties with fairness and diligence, evaluating participants with keen insight.
Among other honorable guests were Ms. Naseem Suleman (Retired Principal, Major Asghar Shaheed Degree College, Ali Sojal) and Ms. Sadia Hameed, Principal of the Vocational Training Institute, Rawalakot, whose presence added further distinction to the occasion.
The event was a celebration of intellect, expression, and academic spirit, reflecting the university’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded and articulate future leaders.

جس میں پونچھ یونیورسٹی کے تمام شعبہ جات سے طلباء و طالبات نے حصہ لیا۔ اس مقابلے کے مہمانِ خصوصی رجسٹرار جامعہ پونچھ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالروف تھے، جبکہ صدارت ڈین فیکلٹی آف میڈیکل اینڈ ہیلتھ سائنسز، ڈاکٹر شاہد اقبال اعوان نے کی۔
مقابلے میں ڈائریکٹر سٹوڈنٹ افیئرز (DSA) راجہ بشارت، چیئرمین ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف فارمیسی ڈاکٹر محمد مختار، چیئرپرسن BEMS ڈیپارٹمنٹ ڈاکٹر ناہید ممتاز، اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر سٹوڈنٹ افیئرز ڈاکٹر اظہار اللہ، لیکچرر ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف فارمیسی ڈاکٹر فصیل بادشاہ، ڈاکٹر ثوبیہ ، اور لیکچرر BEMS ڈیپارٹمنٹ راجہ افتخار احمد نے شرکت کی۔
کشمیر سوشل ویلفیئر آرگنائزیشن کی جانب سے CEO ڈاکٹر ثمینہ شیر خان، ڈاکٹر زوہا سہیل، ڈاکٹر انوشہ نذیر، ڈاکٹر روبیہ کمال، مباح شیر خان، اور زوہاب قدیر موجود تھے۔ اس مقابلے کے منتظمین میں انعام الحق، سارم رئیس، زید احمد زید، صُبّاب احمد، اور کاشف رزاق شامل تھے۔
تقریب میں ججز کے فرائض چیئرمین کمپیوٹر سائنس ڈیپارٹمنٹ ڈاکٹر عدنان رفیق، ڈاکٹر نگہت یونس، اور محترمہ مسرت سعید نے انجام دیے۔
دیگر معزز مہمانوں میں محترمہ نسیم سلیمان (ریٹائرڈ پرنسپل، میجر اصغر شہید ڈگری کالج علی سوجال)، اور پرنسپل ووکیشنل ٹریننگ انسٹیٹیوٹ راولا کوٹ، محترمہ سعدیہ حمید شامل تھیں۔
