IDSP – Pakistan: In collaboration with the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), the Institute for Development Studies and Practices (IDSP – Pakistan) jointly organized a one-day Capacity Building Workshop on Green Skills Program: “Empowering Future Leaders for Sustainable Impact – Mobilizing Capital for Low-Carbon Growth: Climate Finance and Carbon Market Opportunities” at the IDSP University of Community Development, Quetta.
The workshop brought together participants from academic institutions, government departments, and development organizations to engage in meaningful discussions on climate finance, carbon markets, green skills, and sustainable development opportunities.
The sessions were highly interactive, with participants actively contributing to discussions, dialogue, and knowledge-sharing throughout the workshop. The program aimed to strengthen understanding of low-carbon growth pathways and equip future leaders with the knowledge and skills needed for sustainable and climate-resilient development.

IDSP – Pakistan: Captain (Retd.) Meharullah Badani visited the IDSP University of Community Development for a detailed exposure visit of the campus and its initiatives. During the visit, he showed keen interest in IDSP’s “Sustainable Practices in Living and Livelihood” initiatives and appreciated the community-based and practice-oriented approaches being implemented at the University of Community Development. Dr. Quratulain Bakhteari briefed the Deputy Commissioner on IDSP’s programs, projects, and their social and developmental impacts across communities in Balochistan. The Deputy Commissioner highly appreciated the efforts of IDSP and expressed his full support and cooperation in promoting sustainable and community-driven development initiatives in the province.

IDSP – Pakistan: The National Highways and Motorway Police, Road Safety Awareness Unit, Sector Kalat Balochistan, organized a Road Safety Awareness Seminar at the Institute for Development Studies and Practices (IDSP – Pakistan). The session focused on road safety measures and information regarding the driving license authority in Quetta under the National Highways and Motorway Police. The session was conduct by SP Mr. Muhammad Ayoub Khan Tareen, Inspector Mr. Shafi Muhammad, Sub Inspector Ms. Khush Bakht, and Sub Inspector Ms. Narjis Zehra. An engaging question-and-answer session was also conducted, where participants actively discussed road safety concerns and awareness measures. Dr. Quratulain Bakhteari, Founding Director of IDSP – Pakistan, expressed her gratitude to the National Highways and Motorway Police for organizing this informative and valuable awareness session for the students and participants.

IDSP – Pakistan: Students from the Balochistan Agriculture College Quetta visited the IDSP University of Community Development, Quetta, for an educational exposure visit. During the visit, the students attended a detailed presentation on the vision, initiatives, and community-based learning practices of the University of Community Development. They also toured different sections of the campus and observed various sustainable development initiatives in practice. The students showed great interest and appreciation for the innovative approaches and learning environment promoted by IDSP.

IDSP - Pakistan : The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) organized a 5-day training program on Women’s Economic Empowerment – Rangelands. As part of the learning exchange on the second day, participants visited the Institute for Development Studies and Practices (IDSP) – University of Community Development for a field-based learning session. The IDSP team warmly welcomed the participants and facilitated interactive sessions on “Sustainable Practices in Living and Livelihood.” During the visit, participants explored various components of the campus and gained practical exposure to rainwater harvesting systems, low delta crop cultivation, biogas technology, vermi composting, sheep farming practices, injection wells, and the use of solar and wind energy for electricity generation. The participants showed strong interest and active engagement throughout the learning sessions. Dr. Quratulain Bakhteari also conducted an insightful session, sharing her experiences and vision on sustainable community development and locally driven practice
