Da Hawwa Lur organization, always determined to work together to promote and protect women's rights by creating conditions of friendly private and public spheres, has been carrying out concerted struggles during the past years for the empowerment of women. This has been possible, despite the multidimensional challenges, as women of Pakistan have great potential to work for the betterment of Pakist
an's economy. In Pakistan, working women face many problems. They are continuing to suffer at the work place. 77% of women in employment country-wide are in the informal sector, where they are badly paid, with no legal protection , and poor working conditions. Roughly six out of ten employed people in Pakistan are considered to be vulnerable, meaning "at risk of lacking decent work". The large sphere of vulnerability, i.e 78.3%, needs special attention. In KPK, a large number of women are employed in various fields both in rural and urban areas. These women face a large number of problems such as low wages, late working hours, hazardous conditions at work, lack of formal agreements, sexual harassment, lack of link between upper, middle and lower management. In order to resolve the issues of women at the work place and strengthen their voices, Da Hawwa Lur is launching the first ever KPK Working Women Union.
