📢 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀
𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟯–𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, Direct Focus Community Aid (DFCA), in partnership with Aga Khan University (AKU) and in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) Pakistan, successfully organized the 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗞𝗣 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗣𝗜 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗦𝗗 𝗜𝗣𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 & 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 at Hotel City Centre, Abbottabad.

The training was conducted under the initiative “𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗞𝗵𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗵𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗵𝘄𝗮.
It equipped 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 with essential knowledge and practical skills to strengthen routine immunization services, enhance supportive supervision, and improve the overall performance of the 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗣𝗜).

Training Day – 4 | Strengthening Supportive Supervision for High-Quality Immunization Services
Training Day 4 of the South KP Supervisor Training on EPI Basics for ISD IPs Managers & Monitors concluded successfully with active participation and engaging discussions.
Organized by Aga Khan University (AKU) and Direct Focus Community Aid (DFCA) in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) Pakistan, the training focused on strengthening the knowledge and supervisory skills of EPI managers and monitors to improve the quality of routine immunization services across Southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The fourth day emphasized practical learning, supportive supervision techniques, problem-solving, data quality, and strategies to enhance immunization coverage and service delivery.
DFCA remains committed to working with its partners to strengthen Pakistan's immunization programme and ensure that every child has access to life-saving vaccines.

From Refusal to Acceptance

A remarkable achievement from Village Wanda Dalwati, UC Dara Tang, District Lakki Marwat.

What was once a community with vaccine refusals has now become a powerful example of positive change. Through continuous awareness sessions, respectful counseling, and strong community engagement, trust has been built between health workers and families.

Today, mothers are confidently choosing routine immunization for their children, ensuring they are protected from vaccine-preventable diseases and giving them a healthier, brighter future. Every vaccinated child is another step toward a stronger and healthier community.

🌸 A Mother's Trust Can Save a Child's Future 💙👶

Every child deserves protection against vaccine-preventable diseases. Through repeated counseling and accurate information, this family gained confidence in the Routine Immunization program. An unrecorded Zero-Dose child was successfully identified, the family's refusal was converted into acceptance, and the child received life-saving vaccines.

This success highlights the power of awareness, trust, and community health workers working together to protect every child.
