Edwardes College Peshawar Holds Its First Literary Festival, 2025

On January 30th, a day to remember, the English Literary Society, in collaboration with the Edwardes Research Society, hosted the inaugural literary festival at Edwardes College Peshawar. This milestone event, themed 'Literature as a Catalyst: Analyzing Its Reflection and Influence on Societal Structures, Economic Trends, Religious Ideologies, and Psychological Paradigms,' marked a significant moment in the college's journey.

The festival featured a keynote address by Dr. Atteq Ur Rahman, followed by engaging sessions with distinguished speakers, including Dr. Samiuddin Arman, Dr. Aqsa Yasir, and Lecturer Asher Ashkar Gohar. Each speaker sparked thoughtful conversations, initiating new perspectives on how literature addresses societal issues, intersects with religion and philosophy, influences consumer behavior, and unveils the depth of human consciousness.

Under the patronage of Dr. Nasir Iqbal, the event brought together students, scholars, and literary enthusiasts from various universities. Attendees delved into stimulating discussions and activities. Vice Principal Prof. Naveed Ali praised the event, recognizing the commitment and effort of the organizing teams.

This one-day literary festival was a resounding success, fostering discussions, exploring literature, and strengthening community ties.
