Deputy Commissioner Mardan, Mr. Wasif Rehman, visited Durshal, DESC Shankar Mardan today, accompanied by ADC Mardan and DYO Mardan, Mr. Saddam.

The visit focused on the utilization and mobilization of the venue and available resources in support of the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s special initiative for employable skills development.

The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Pir Amad Ali Shah, Project Coordinator Durshal Mardan, and Mr. Sarwar Khan, Project Manager DESC. The delegation was briefed on the DESC initiative and its objectives by Mr. Sarwar Khan, while Mr. Pir Amad Ali Shah presented an overview of Durshal KPITB and the startup ecosystem developed across District Mardan, highlighting its contribution toward entrepreneurship, innovation, and youth development.

The delegation appreciated the initiatives and the effective utilization of the facilities for youth development. The Deputy Commissioner expressed keen interest in extending full administrative support and collaboration for future training and skills-development activities aimed at empowering the talented youth of District Mardan.
