Honored to be invited by Da Hawwa Lur as a panelist in this important discussion on the Charter of Demands for the transgender community.

We raised our collective voice for protection and safety of transgender persons, better livelihood opportunities, job quota and financial support schemes, inclusion in social services, relief schemes, institutional accountability and sensitization, dignity as a fundamental right, access to basic health rights, and ensuring separate and respectful spaces in hospitals. We also discussed the importance of strengthening Tahafuz Centers for the protection and support of the transgender community.

True inclusion begins when rights are recognized, respected, and protected. Every transgender person deserves safety, dignity, equality, and opportunities to live with pride.

Grateful to be part of this meaningful dialogue and to stand together for a more inclusive and just society.

A proud moment for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Transgender person Sobia Khan (alias Bilal) has been appointed as a Warden in the KP Prison Department, becoming the first transgender employee in this sector. This is a highly commendable and progressive step by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa towards inclusion and equal opportunities.

On behalf of the KP transgender community, the President and Executive Director of Manzil Foundation Madam Arzoo Khan warmly welcome this milestone. We are especially proud of our student, Sobia Khan, for achieving this position through dedication and resilience.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Chief Minister KP, Sohail Afridi, and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Department for making this possible.

We are hopeful that other departments will follow this example by including more transgender persons and creating equal opportunities for all.

The 3rd day Dua (Qul) of transgender person Dilbar Sara was arranged by Manzil Foundation and transgender community gathered to pray for her soul and demand justice for Sara, who lost her life due to brutal violence.

The KP Transgender Community President and Manzil Foundation executive Director stated that unfortunately, the perpetrator is still at large, and the community continues to demand immediate arrest of those responsible and protection for transgender persons in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

We urge authorities to ensure swift justice and take serious measures to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.

🚨 پشاور میں افسوسناک واقعہ 🚨
پشاور میں دوستی سے انکار پر افغان خواجہ سرا دلبر عرف سارا کو فائرنگ کر کے شدید زخمی کر دیا گیا تھا۔ تھانہ فقیر آباد پولیس کے مطابق واقعہ سبزی منڈی کے قریب پیش آیا، جہاں سے زخمی کو تشویشناک حالت میں اسپتال منتقل کر دیا گیا۔ اور ہسپتال میں افغان خواجہ سرا کی موت ہںوگئی۔ پولیس نے شواہد اکٹھے کر کے ملزمان کی تلاش شروع کر دی ہے۔

خواجہ سرا تنظیموں نے اس واقعے کی شدید مذمت کرتے ہوئے فوری انصاف کا مطالبہ کیا ہے۔ ٹرانس جینڈر کمیونٹی کی صدر آرزو خان کا کہنا ہے کہ پشاور میں خواجہ سرا برادری عدم تحفظ کا شکار ہے اور آئے روز پیش آنے والے واقعات تشویشناک ہیں۔

انہوں نے اعلیٰ حکام سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ ملزمان کو فوری گرفتار کیا جائے، بصورت دیگر احتجاج کیا جائے گا۔

Today, Transgender person Sara was shot near Iqbal Plaza, Peshawar. She was seriously injured and was admitted to Lady Reading Hospital, but sadly she passed away due to her severe injuries.
KP Transgender Community President and Manzil Foundation Executive Director Madam expressed deep grief and said that this incident is heartbreaking for the entire community.
She appealed to the IG KP Police and CCPO Peshawar to take immediate and serious action against the perpetrator involved in this brutal act and ensure justice for Sara.
Violence against transgender persons must stop. We demand protection, dignity, and justice for the transgender community.
