Mr. Taj Akbar from Khyber Society of America (KSA), accompanied by the HEADS team, visited flood-affected communities in District Buner to hear directly from beneficiaries and assess project progress.

Beneficiaries shared that the devastating 2025 floods destroyed their carts, shops, and small businesses. Through livelihood restoration support, they have successfully restarted their businesses and are now generating monthly savings of PKR 9,000–17,000.

Communities also appreciated the solar-powered water filtration plants and solar energy systems, which are providing access to clean drinking water and reliable energy.

While recovery efforts have made a significant impact, some flood-affected families are still living in partially damaged homes, highlighting the continued need for rehabilitation and shelter support.

Together, we remain committed to helping communities recover and build a more resilient future.

We are pleased to share the successful completion of Vocational Skills Training Program under the Ba-Ikhtyar Project, generously supported by Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), in Booni, Upper Chitral.

50 trainees graduated successfully
25 in Stitching & Tailoring
25 in Fashion Design

These trainings have equipped participants with practical skills to pursue livelihood opportunities, enhance household income, and move toward greater economic independence.

We congratulate all graduates on this important achievement and thank PPAF for its continued support in empowering communities through skills development and sustainable livelihoods.

On 20 May 2026, HEADS, with the support of Khyber Society of America (KSA), successfully conducted a distribution event in Daggar, District Buner.

The event was graced by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Buner along with other government officials, reflecting strong collaboration and support for humanitarian efforts in the district.

During the event, the HEADS team introduced the humanitarian partnership between HEADS and Khyber Society of America (KSA) and shared updates on the ongoing initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable communities. The ADC appreciated the efforts of both organizations and expressed interest in meeting the KSA team during their upcoming visit.

📌 Distribution Highlights:

🛒 Cart Distribution
✔ 40 distributed with digital scales and startup stock
• 20 Fruit Carts
• 20 Vegetable Carts

🥛 Dairy Shop Packages
✔ 10 Dairy Shop Packages distributed, including a shop showcase, deep freezer, utensil stand, 2 milk containers, and 5 yogurt trays to help strengthen and support small dairy businesses.

☀ Solar Systems
✔ 35 solar systems successfully distributed

💧 Clean Water for Communities
We are also pleased to share the successful inauguration of a solar-powered water filtration plant in Village Balo Khan, providing the community with access to safe and clean drinking water. Community members expressed their heartfelt gratitude for this life-changing initiative.

Together, we continue working towards resilient communities, sustainable livelihoods, and a brighter future for vulnerable families.

We are thrilled to share our monthly progress from the Women Development Center (WDC) in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa!

This April, we proudly launched a fresh training session with 90 women enrolled across three dedicated classes, all with regular attendance and growing enthusiasm every single day. 🧵✨

Here's what we achieved this month:

✅ 90 women actively enrolled & started training
✅ 3 structured classes, Fresh Class 1, Fresh Class 2 & Designing Class
✅ Skills covered: Basic stitching, Baby neck cutting, Piping & advanced neck designs (Chinese, Golé & Piping necks)
✅ Smooth relocation to our new training center building
✅ Strong community outreach in Sheikhi, Spin Kana & Jabba Tar villages of Cherat.
✅ Hands-on tools provided: sewing machines, fabrics, scissors & more

Our trainees are not just learning a skill, they are building confidence, independence, and a brighter future for themselves and their families.

The WDC is a joint initiative of HEADS & Cherat Cement Company Limited (CCCL), committed to creating lasting change for women in Cherat, District Nowshera, KPK.
