We have been informed by Mr. Mubashir Ahmed of his successful completion of an internship at Habib Bank Limited (HBL), marking an important milestone in his academic and professional journey. During his internship, he had the opportunity to work on innovative technology-driven solutions and gain valuable hands-on experience in the practical application of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Software Engineering.

Throughout the internship, Mr. Mubashir contributed to developing and deploying Machine Learning models for predictive analytics, implementing and optimizing RPA workflows, designing comprehensive automated UI testing frameworks, and integrating AI solutions with existing legacy systems. He also gained practical exposure to tools and technologies including Python, UiPath, and Selenium, further strengthening his technical expertise and problem-solving abilities.

This experience enabled him to apply his Software Engineering knowledge to real-world financial sector challenges while enhancing his understanding of intelligent automation, software testing, and technology-driven business processes.

The Office of IQAE, FAST-NUCES Peshawar Campus, organized a meeting of the Campus-Level Selection Committee for the Best University Teacher Award 2025–2026 on Friday, September 18, 2026.

The committee, chaired by the Campus Director, comprised Heads of Departments and subject experts representing the relevant academic domains, with IQAE serving as Secretary (Non-Voting). External subject experts were also invited to ensure an objective and domain-specific evaluation of the submitted applications.

Dr. Muhammad Nawaz, Head of the Department of Computer Science, Institute of Management Sciences, evaluated applicants from the Computing and Engineering domains, while Dr. Sabeen Hayat, Assistant Professor, Institute of Management Sciences, evaluated the applicant from the English Language domain.

Following a comprehensive assessment against the prescribed criteria, the committee finalized three outstanding nominations and forwarded them to the Head Office for further processing.

The initiative reflects FAST-NUCES Peshawar Campus commitment to recognizing teaching excellence, academic contribution, and professional dedication.

A Tribute to Dr. Amir Muhammed | Founding Rector, FAST-NUCES

The FAST-NUCES family remembers Dr. Amir Muhammed, the Founding Rector of FAST-NUCES, whose vision, dedication, and commitment to institution-building helped shape the University we proudly call home today. Through his leadership, unwavering belief in merit, and commitment to building world-class educational opportunities in Pakistan, he played a defining role in laying the foundations of FAST-NUCES.

On behalf of the faculty, staff, students, and alumni of FAST-NUCES, we extend our deepest condolences to Dr. Amir Muhammed’s family, colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and learning from him.

May Allah Almighty grant him His infinite mercy, forgive his shortcomings, and elevate his rank in Jannat-ul-Firdous. May his family find patience and strength during this time of loss.

Building the Next Generation of Cloud Leaders at FAST-NUCES Peshawar Campus!

The AWS Student Builder Group (AWS SBG) at FAST-NUCES Peshawar Campus successfully conducted its AWS Orientation 2026 at Hall A, introducing students to the exciting world of cloud computing and emerging opportunities in the AWS ecosystem.

The session was led by Cloud Club Captain Rayyan Shaheer alongside AWS SBG Leader Abdul Mueez, who guided students through cloud computing fundamentals, industry pathways, and the roadmap ahead.

Students also explored hands-on learning opportunities including AWS Educate, Cloud Practitioner learning paths, certification bootcamps, and volunteer opportunities for the upcoming AWS Student Community Day 2026.

A big thank you to the faculty, speakers, and enthusiastic participants for making the orientation a great success.

OSINT: Hackers Eye | IEEE NUCES PWR Student Branch

The IEEE NUCES PWR Student Branch organized an insightful and engaging session titled “OSINT: Hackers Eye” at the Hassan Abdi Lab, FAST-NUCES Peshawar Campus, bringing students together to explore the fascinating world of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and its growing importance in cybersecurity.

The session began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by an introduction from the guest speaker, Muhammad Saad Salman, who shared his personal journey into cybersecurity, the experiences that shaped his interests, and the motivation that led him to pursue a career in this rapidly evolving field.

During the session, participants were introduced to Open Source Intelligence (OSINT)—the process of gathering, analyzing, and interpreting publicly available information from websites, social media platforms, online databases, and other open sources. The discussion highlighted how OSINT is used by cybersecurity professionals and ethical hackers to understand digital footprints, assess online exposure, identify potential vulnerabilities, and make informed security decisions.

The session concluded with Dr. Suleman Mir, Branch Counsellor / Faculty Head of IEEE FAST PWR Branch, presenting a certificate of appreciation to Muhammad Saad Salman in recognition of his valuable contribution and for sharing his knowledge and experience with the students.

The event served as a valuable learning opportunity, inspiring students to broaden their understanding of OSINT, ethical hacking, and cybersecurity while encouraging them to explore new possibilities in the ever-evolving digital landscape.

The IEEE NUCES PWR Student Branch successfully conducted Connect&Charge: IEEE Orientation 2026, welcoming new members and introducing them to the vision, activities, and opportunities offered by IEEE.

The event commenced at 11:00 AM with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by an opening address by the Faculty Head and Branch Counsellor, Dr. Suleman Mir. In his insightful talk, Dr. Suleman Mir introduced IEEE and highlighted its global significance, shared valuable insights into IEEE standards and their impact on the engineering community, and introduced the various IEEE teams along with their purpose and scope.

An interactive Q&A session followed, giving attendees the opportunity to clarify their queries about IEEE, its structure, and its operations.

The Chairperson, Usman Sohail, then shared his personal journey to becoming Chairperson, offering an inspiring account of his experience within IEEE. He also outlined his future goals for upcoming IEEE events and delivered an industry-driven talk, highlighting how IEEE activities can contribute to real-world professional development.

The orientation continued with engaging interactive activities, including an exciting quiz segment where prizes were awarded to attendees who answered correctly, encouraging enthusiastic participation throughout the session.

The event concluded on a high note, leaving new members motivated, informed, and ready to make the most of the opportunities IEEE has to offer.
