Social Work Department organizes awareness session on Right to Public Services Act for students of Peshawar University

Transparency and accountability of institutions is essential for development in the province, says Judge Muhammad Asim Imam

Commissioner RTPSC Judge Muhammad Asim Imam delivered a comprehensive lecture to the students and faculty members of Social Work Department Peshawar University in an awareness session on the Right to Public Services Commission. Chairman Dr. Shakeel Ahmed thanked the participants. In this session, the participants were provided with all the information about the RTS Act and Notified Public Services and their rights. Judge Muhammad Asim Imam explained how this law provides cheap and prompt justice to the public and ensures easy access to government services. Commissioner RTS Judge Muhammad Asim Imam also emphasized the role of the RTS Act and the Commission in ensuring access to Notified Public Services. This law helps in preventing social unrest. He also highlighted the importance of transparent and accountable functioning of public institutions for the development of the province. When fairness is not maintained and there is injustice in public affairs, it gives rise to violence and extremism. Strengthening the Right to Services Act is essential to promote prosperity and development in the province. Commissioner RTS Judge Muhammad Asim Imam urged the participants to spread awareness about the law and inform the public in their areas about the facilities available under the RTS Act. The Commissioner also presented badges to the elected proctorial board.
