MDCAT Guidance Session 2026, At Edward Model College Timergara
On June 9, 2026, the Dir Medical Students Welfare Society of KMC & KCD, in collaboration with Edward Model College Timergara, successfully organized an inspiring MDCAT Guidance Session for aspiring medical students. The session brought together 150+ enthusiastic MDCAT aspirants with the shared dream of securing admission to medical colleges.
The session featured a remarkable lineup of 8 speakers, each sharing valuable insights, guidance, and personal experiences to help students navigate their MDCAT journey.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Muhammad Taha, 1st-year MBBS student at Khyber Medical College (KMC).
The President of the Society, Mudasir Ahmad (3rd-year MBBS student at KMC), introduced the society, highlighting its aims, objectives, and vision. He also shared insights about life at Khyber Medical College, setting an inspiring tone for the session.
The MDCAT Roadmap:
Muhammad Taha guided students through the MDCAT pathway, explaining the application process, exam attempt strategies, and later provided a brief introduction to KMU-CAT.
Subject-Wise Guidance:
• English & Logical Reasoning: Izhar Ali (1st-year MBBS student, KMC) provided guidance on improving English and logical reasoning skills.
• Physics: Nauman Ahmad (1st-year MBBS student) shared key strategies for tackling Physics.
• Biology: Safi Ullah (1st-year MBBS student) discussed important approaches for Biology preparation.
• Chemistry: Muhammad Wasif (1st-year MBBS student) guided students through effective Chemistry preparation strategies.
The Strategy:
Dr. Majid Ullah, a recent graduate of Khyber Medical College, delivered an insightful session on a crucial skill — how to approach MCQs efficiently and maximize performance in the exam.
The Motivation:
Mahboob Jan (2nd-year MBBS student) shared his inspiring journey and motivated students to remain consistent, focused, and determined throughout their preparation.
The session concluded with closing remarks from President Mudasir Ahmad, who expressed gratitude to all participants, the administration of Edward Model College Timergara, and especially Dr. Ayaz, Vice Principal, for their support, efforts, and for providing the platform to gather and guide aspiring students.
