وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مدد علی شاہ کے خصوصی تعاون سے شہید بینظیر بھٹو یونیورسٹی، شہید بینظیر آباد میں ڈائریکٹر یٹ آف اسٹوڈنٹس افیئر ز۔ طلبہ کی تنظیم (وائی پی ڈی سی) اور تھیلیسیمیا ویلفیئر سوسائٹی نواب شاہ کے مشترکہ تعاون سے تھیلیسیمیا میں مبتلا بچوں کے لیے بلڈ ڈونیشن کیمپ کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ کیمپ اکیڈمک بلاک ون اور ٹو میں لگایا گیا، کیمپ کا مقصد تھیلیسیمیا میں مبتلا معصوم بچوں کے لیے خون کی فراہمی کو فروغ دینا اور طلبہ و طالبات سمیت یونیورسٹی کے دیگر اراکین میں انسانیت کی خدمت ، ہمدردی اور سماجی ذمہ داری کا جذبہ اجاگر کرنا تھا۔ اس موقع پر شہید بینظیر بھٹو یونیورسٹی کے طلبہ و طالبات نے بڑی تعداد میں شرکت کرتے ہوئے خون کا عطیہ دیا اور تھیلیسیمیا میں مبتلا بچوں کی مدد کے لیے اپنا بھر پور کردار ادا کیا۔ طلبہ کے اس جذبے کو انسانیت کی خدمت اور سماجی بہبود کی جانب ایک اہم قدم قرار دیا گیا کیمپ کے دورے کے دوران پروفیسر ڈاکٹر لیاقت علی زرداری، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد افضل کمبوہ، تھیلیسیمیا ویلفیئر سوسائٹی کے ڈاکٹر صادق سیال اور غلام نبی چنہ، ڈائریکٹر اسٹوڈنٹس افیئر ز انجینئر محمد طفیل میمن اسٹوڈنٹس ویلفیئر آفیسر امجد علی راہو جبار بروھی اور میڈم راشدہ نے کہا کہ خون کا عطیہ ایک عظیم انسانی خدمت ہے، جس سے تھیلیسیمیا میں مبتلا بچوں کو زندگی کی امید ملتی ہے اور ان کے علاج میں مدد فراہم ہوتی ہے۔ انہوں نے یونیورسٹی کے طلبہ اور پوری کمیونٹی کے مشترکہ تعاون کو سراہتے ہوئے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ ایسی سرگرمیاں معاشرے میں انسانیت ، ہمدردی اور خدمت کے جذبے کو فروغ دینے میں اہم کردار ادا کرتی ہیں۔

کالج آف نرسنگ فیمیل سانگھڑ میں تھیلیسیمیا پریوینشن پروگرام

24 ستمبر 2026 کو کالج آف نرسنگ فیمیل، سانگھڑ میں تھیلیسیمیا پیشنٹ ویلفیئر سوسائٹی (TPWS)، نوابشاہ، شہید بینظیرآباد کے زیرِ اہتمام تھیلیسیمیا پریوینشن پروگرام کامیابی سے منعقد کیا گیا۔

پروگرام کا آغاز تلاوتِ کلامِ پاک اور قومی ترانے سے ہوا۔ میڈم انصر فاطمہ، وائس پرنسپل نے معزز مہمانوں کا استقبال کیا اور مستقبل میں تھیلیسیمیا آگاہی و بچاؤ کی سرگرمیوں میں بھرپور تعاون کی یقین دہانی کرائی۔

مسٹر آغا راشد ، پریوینشن پروگرام کوآرڈینیٹر، TPWS نے تھیلیسیمیا کے حوالے سے آگاہی دی اور بروقت اسکریننگ، ٹیسٹنگ اور احتیاطی اقدامات کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالی۔

مس عائشہ بروہی، مانیٹرنگ اینڈ ایویلیوایشن آفیسر نے تھیلیسیمیا سے بچاؤ اور ابتدائی اسکریننگ کے حوالے سے مفید آگاہی سیشن منعقد کیا۔

مسٹر مرتضیٰ میمن، تھیلیسیمیا فائٹر نے اپنے ذاتی تجربات طالبات کے ساتھ شیئر کیے، جس سے انہیں تھیلیسیمیا کے مریضوں کو درپیش مشکلات کو سمجھنے میں مدد ملی۔

پروگرام میں طالبات نے بھرپور دلچسپی کا مظاہرہ کیا اور بڑی تعداد میں اسکریننگ میں حصہ لیتے ہوئے رضاکارانہ طور پر تھیلیسیمیا ٹیسٹ کروایا۔

آگاہی، بروقت اسکریننگ اور بچاؤ کے ذریعے ہم تھیلیسیمیا سے پاک مستقبل کی جانب بڑھ سکتے ہیں۔

Thalassaemia Prevention Program at College of Nursing Female, Sanghar

A Thalassaemia Prevention Program was successfully organized on 24th September 2026 at College of Nursing Female, Sanghar, by the Thalassaemia Patients Welfare Society (TPWS), Nawabshah, Shaheed Benazirabad.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem. Madam Ansar Fatima, Vice Principal, welcomed the guests and assured continued cooperation in future Thalassaemia awareness and prevention activities.

Mr. Agha Rashid, Prevention Program Coordinator, TPWS, delivered an informative session on Thalassaemia, emphasizing the importance of awareness, timely screening, and preventive measures.

Miss Ayesha Brohi, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, conducted an awareness session highlighting Thalassaemia prevention and the importance of early screening.

Mr. Murtaza Memon, a Thalassaemia Fighter, shared his personal experience, helping students understand the challenges faced by Thalassaemia patients.

The program received an encouraging response from the students, with a significant number participating in screening and voluntarily undergoing Thalassaemia testing.

Together, through awareness, screening and prevention, we can work towards a Thalassaemia-free future.

A Thalassaemia Prevention Program was successfully organized at Govt. Degree College Daur, S.B.A., on 16th September 2026 by the Thalassaemia Patients Welfare Society (TPWS), Nawabshah, S.B.A.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem. Prof. Khadim Hussain, Principal of Govt. Degree College Daur, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and assured the institute’s continued cooperation in future Thalassaemia-related initiatives. He encouraged students to take part in the screening and prioritize their health. As a gesture of respect and hospitality, he also presented Ajraks to the distinguished guests.

Dr. Muhammad Sadiq Siyal, General Secretary of TPWS, provided an informative overview of Thalassaemia, discussing its impact on individuals and families and highlighting the importance of timely screening and preventive measures to reduce its burden in the community.

Miss Ayesha Brohi, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, conducted an awareness session focusing on Thalassaemia, its prevention, and the role of early screening. Her session provided students with practical information and encouraged them to take informed steps toward protecting their health.

The program also featured an inspiring speech by Miss Kiran, a Thalassaemia Fighter, who shared her personal experience of living with the condition. Her story gave students a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by Thalassaemia patients and highlighted the human impact of the disease.

The event concluded with Mr. Ghulam Nabi Channa, Joint Secretary of TPWS, expressing his appreciation to Prof. Khadim Hussain for his valuable cooperation and support. He then engaged the students in an interactive question-and-answer session, where those who answered correctly were appreciated and presented with gifts.

The event received an encouraging response from the students, with a significant number participating in the screening and voluntarily undergoing Thalassaemia testing. Their active participation reflected a strong commitment to their health and contributed to the broader goal of Thalassaemia prevention.

اس موقع پر تھیلیسیمیا سینٹر کے سیکریٹری، ڈاکٹر محمد صادق سیال نے محترمہ ڈاکٹر درّہ ناز جمال کو سینٹر کے تمام شعبہ جات کا تفصیلی دورہ کروایا اور سینٹر کی مختلف سرگرمیوں، خدمات اور کارکردگی کے حوالے سے مکمل بریفنگ دی۔

دورے کے دوران ڈاکٹر درّہ ناز جمال نے تھیلیسیمیا سینٹر کے بلڈ بینک اور لیبارٹری کا بھی تفصیلی دورہ کیا۔ انہوں نے بلڈ بینک اور لیبارٹری میں موجود SOPs اور تمام متعلقہ چیک لسٹس کا جائزہ لیا اور وہاں جاری طریقۂ کار اور کارکردگی کا تفصیلی معائنہ کیا۔ انہوں نے بلڈ بینک اور لیبارٹری کی مجموعی کارکردگی کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہاں پر کام ایک اچھے معیار کے مطابق کیا جا رہا ہے اور بلڈ بینک و لیبارٹری کا نظام بین الاقوامی معیار کے تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ ہے۔

ڈاکٹر درّہ ناز جمال نے تمام شعبہ جات کے عملے سے تفصیلی ملاقات اور بات چیت بھی کی۔ انہوں نے خصوصی طور پر تھیلیسیمیا پریوینشن پروگرام کی کارکردگی کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ تھیلیسیمیا سینٹر بیماری سے بچاؤ اور روک تھام کے لیے بہت اچھا اور قابلِ تحسین کام کر رہا ہے۔

انہوں نے وارڈ میں زیرِ علاج تھیلیسیمیا کے بچوں اور ان کے والدین سے بھی ملاقات کی، ان کی خیریت دریافت کی اور ان کے مسائل اور ضروریات کے بارے میں معلومات حاصل کیں۔

اس موقع پر تھیلیسیمیا سینٹر کے چیئرمین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر علی بخش سومرو اور جوائنٹ سیکریٹری غلام نبی چنہ بھی موجود تھے۔

سندھ بلڈ ٹرانسفیوژن اتھارٹی کی سیکریٹری ڈاکٹر درے ناز جمال نے آج نادرا سینٹر، سانگھڑ روڈ شہید بے نظیر اباد میں قائم تھیلیسیمیا پریوینشن پروگرام (ڈیسک) کا دورہ کیا۔

اس موقع پر جوائنٹ سیکریٹری غلام نبی چنا نے ڈاکٹر درے ناز جمال کو تھیلیسیمیا پریوینشن پروگرام( ڈیسک ) کی پورے سال کی کارکردگی کے بارے میں تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔ انہیں بتایا گیا کہ نادرا سینٹر پر آنے والے افراد کو تھیلیسیمیا سے بچاؤ اور اس کی روک تھام کے حوالے سے مکمل آگاہی فراہم کی جاتی ہے، جبکہ ان کاcbc/ Hb Electrophoresis ٹیسٹ بھی کیا جاتا ہے تاکہ تھیلیسیمیا کیریئرز کی بروقت تشخیص ممکن ہو سکے۔
ڈاکٹر درے ناز جمال نے تھیلیسیمیا پریوینشن ٹیم کی کارکردگی کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ جنرل پاپولیشن میں تقریباً 5 سے 7 فیصد افراد تھیلیسیمیا مائنر/کیریئر ہو سکتے ہیں، اس لیے ایسے مقامات پر اسکریننگ اور آگاہی انتہائی اہم ہے۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ نادرا تھیلیسیمیا پریوینشن پروگرام( ڈیسک) کے ذریعے نہ صرف بڑی تعداد میں لوگوں تک تھیلیسیمیا سے بچاؤ کا پیغام پہنچ رہا ہے بلکہ تھیلیسیمیا کیریئر افراد کی نشاندہی کے بعد انہیں مناسب فالو اَپ اور رہنمائی بھی فراہم کی جا رہی ہے۔

Secretary Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority Dr.Dur-e-Naz Jamal visited the Thalassemia Prevention program (desk) established at NADRA Center, Sanghar Road, Shaheed benazir Abad, today.

On the occasion, Joint Secretary Ghulam Nabi Channa briefed Dr.Dur-e-Naz Jamal in detail about the year-long performance and activities of the Thalassemia Prevention program (desk).

She was informed that individuals visiting the NADRA Center are provided with comprehensive awareness regarding thalassemia prevention and are also offered Hb Electrophoresis testing to identify thalassemia carriers at an early stage.

Dr.Dur-e-Naz Jamal appreciated the performance and efforts of the Thalassemia Prevention Team. She highlighted that approximately 5–7% of the general population may carry the thalassemia trait, making awareness, screening, and early identification extremely important.

She further appreciated the team for identifying thalassemia carriers through screening and providing them with appropriate follow-up, counseling, and guidance.
Dr.Dur-e-Naz Jamal commended the Thalassemia Prevention Team for its dedicated efforts and effective work towards reducing the burden of thalassemia in the community.

A Thalassaemia Prevention Program was successfully organized at Govt Degree College 60 Mail S.B.A, on 8th September 2026 by the Thalassaemia Patients Welfare Society Nawabshah, S.B.A.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem. Prof Ihsan Ali Rind Principal of Govt Degree College 60 Mail warmly welcomed all the distinguished guests and assured the institute’s full cooperation and support in future Thalassaemia awareness and prevention activities. He also encouraged students to participate in Thalassaemia screening and get themselves tested.

Dr. Muhammad Sadiq Siyal, General Secretary of TPWS, delivered an informative session on the background of Thalassaemia, highlighting the importance of awareness, screening, and preventive measures to reduce the burden of the disease in the community.
