60years old, poor lady from Dudhnial Dist. Neelum had swelling in front of the neck since 15 years. Due to financial constraints she wasn't able to get her proper treatment. She was presented with breathlessness, dysphagia( inability to eat) and sense of fullness in the neck at Shaheen Hospital. After clinical diagnostics, it was apparent the a surgery is required.

Her husband is very old and unemployeed. She has 03 sons who are also unemployed and her family couldn't afford surgical treatment of her huge enlarged thyroid gland.

She was admitted to Shaheen Hospital and operated on 21st November 2014 for total thyroidectomy. Post op recovery of the patient is uneventful. All financial expenses of this patient were paid Shaheen Hospital Foundation.

A 25 years old boy from Muzaffarabad arrived for checkup at Shaheen Hospital. He was investigated and get his dopler done. He was diagnosed with dialated
tortuous veins of both lower limbs. After detailed analysis, he was planned for surgery. This boy is jobless, helpless and really a needy person to be supported. He was admitted and operated on both legs on 11 November 2014 at Shaheen Hospital. He was given all the pre-operative, operative and post-operative care free
of charge. All the financial assitance was provided by Shaheen Hospital Foundation. The post operative recovery of the patient was successful. He was discharged the other day with home treatment and advised to follow up at Shaheen Hospital after a period of one week.
