𝐇𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐝𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐂𝐄𝐎 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐢𝐚𝐳 S𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 and the Pakistan Sports Council of Persons with Disabilities for their generous support in providing active wheelchairs for persons with disabilities in 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐛. This valuable contribution will significantly enhance mobility, independence, and quality of life for many individuals, enabling them to participate more actively in society.

This initiative has been successfully implemented with the coordination and dedicated efforts of the Mainstream Association of Persons with Disabilities, which continues to work tirelessly for the inclusion, empowerment, and well-being of persons with disabilities across the region.

We are also deeply honored by the presence of Shafiq-ur-Rehman, President of Milestone Society for the Special Persons, and Agha Hussnain Raza, Chairman of the Pakistan Sports Council of Persons with Disabilities. Their participation and encouragement added great value to the event and further strengthened our shared commitment to promoting inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities for all.

ہمارے جنوبی پنجاب اور اندرونِ سندھ میں آج بھی معذوری کی شرح تشویشناک حد تک زیادہ ہے۔ روزانہ ایسے بچے پیدا ہو رہے ہیں جو کسی نہ کسی معذوری کا شکار ہوتے ہیں، اور اس کی ایک بڑی وجہ حاملہ خواتین کا بروقت اور معیاری طبی معائنہ نہ کروانا ہے۔

بدقسمتی سے ہمارے معاشرے میں ایک اور تلخ حقیقت بھی موجود ہے، خواتین ہی خواتین کو ایسے جملوں سے دباؤ میں لاتی ہیں: "ہم نے تو پانچ بچے گھر پر پیدا کر لیے، تم سے ایک بھی نہیں ہو رہا؟" یہی سوچ ایک خطرناک روایت کو جنم دیتی ہے، جہاں غیر تربیت یافتہ دائی سسٹم آنے والی نسلوں کی صحت کو دیمک کی طرح کھوکھلا کر رہا ہے۔

13 سالہ سحر اسی نظام کا ایک دردناک عکس ہے۔ ایک ماہ سے زائد عرصہ گزر گیا، ماں کے پیٹ کا پانی خشک ہو گیا، مگر بروقت طبی سہولت نہ مل سکی۔ نتیجہ یہ نکلا کہ سحر زندگی بھر کے لیے ایک شدید معذوری کا شکار ہو گئی۔
سحر کے والد ایک محنت کش ہیں، لکڑی کا کام کرتے ہیں، اور سحر ان کے آٹھ بچوں میں سے ایک ہے۔ اس بچی کی حالت ایسی ہے کہ وہ خود سے کھانا بھی نہیں چبا سکتی—اسے ہر چیز پیس کر دینا پڑتی ہے۔ ماں اپنی بیٹی کی حالت دیکھ دیکھ کر ذہنی اذیت کا شکار ہو چکی ہے۔ یہ صرف ایک کہانی نہیں، بلکہ ایک ایسا المیہ ہے جو ہمارے معاشرے میں بار بار دہرایا جا رہا ہے۔

کچھ دکھ لفظوں میں بیان نہیں ہو سکتے… اور کچھ حقیقتیں اتنی کڑوی ہوتی ہیں کہ قلم بھی خاموش ہو جاتا ہے۔

The 3rd Cascade Training on Green Entrepreneurship, Life Skills, and Active Citizenship was conducted by the Mainstream Association of Persons with Disabilities in collaboration with Bargad Organization for Youth Development and VSO Pakistan. The training engaged young people from the Thalassemia Survivors community, who proved to be highly talented and energetic.

Special thanks to Hadya Foundation, a leading organization working for Thalassemia survivors, and Abdul Razaq Trust School for their excellent facilitation and support.

A session on Digital Earning Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities was held today at the Mainstream Association, HANDS–Mainstream Independent Living Center (ILC) Multan.

The session was led by Ms. Aqfa, a Digital Creator, who shared valuable insights into the digital world and highlighted various ways Persons with Disabilities can earn through online platforms. She emphasized the importance of skills development, awareness of digital tools, and exploring freelancing opportunities.

A key takeaway from the session was that consistency is the foundation of success in the digital field. With dedication and continuous effort, Persons with Disabilities can achieve financial independence and actively participate in the digital economy.
