🌟 16th National Youth Peace Festival 2026 | 🌟

Proud to attend the 16th National Youth Peace Festival 2026 and the 20th Birthday Celebrations of CDA, representing Wasaib Sanwaro as Manager Director and contributing as a Transgender Community Representative.

The festival created an important space for grassroots voices, youth leadership, peace, inclusion, gender equality, and climate action. The conversation around the Nexus of Youth, Gender and Climate highlighted the importance of ensuring that young people from diverse and marginalized communities are meaningfully included in development and peacebuilding.

It was inspiring to learn from and engage with changemakers, including Soniya Javed, Naimat ur Raheem, Shazia Batool, Jawad Soomro, Abdur Rehman, Muhammad Faheem, and other distinguished speakers and youth leaders.

The opening ceremony and sessions also featured valuable remarks and insights from Ms. Sadia Atta, Col. Amir Shahzad, Dr. Farooq Sattar, and Ms. Romina Khursheed Alam, while the panel on youth, gender and climate brought together voices including Ms. Nayyab Ali, Ms. Ume Laila, Ms. Sadaf Ajmal, Ms. Ambreena Ahmed, and Mr. Naseem Anthony.

A meaningful platform for dialogue, learning, networking and strengthening inclusive youth leadership from grassroots to national level. 🤝🌱

🌟 Great Meeting | Digital Youth Hub 🇵🇰

A productive meeting between Ghous Ghazala, Manager Director, Wasaib Sanwaro, and Aftab Alam, Prime Minister’s Youth Council Representative, where the Digital Youth Hub App was introduced.

The meeting included a brief overview of the app, its key features, registration process, and how young people can use the platform to access youth opportunities, information, programs, and engagement opportunities.

A meaningful step toward connecting young people with digital opportunities and empowering youth through technology. 🤝📱✨

🌟 UNFPA Pakistan Youth Advisory Board Capacity Building Workshop | Day 2 🌟

The second day of the UNFPA Pakistan Youth Advisory Board (YAB) Capacity Building Workshop was another wonderful learning experience. 🤝🌍

As a Youth Advisory Board Member of UNFPA Pakistan, Manager Director of Wasaib Sanwaro, transgender activist in Pakistan, transgender community representative, and transgender teacher in Multan, Ghous Ghazala actively participated in the technical sessions and discussions.

Day 2 provided valuable learning about the technical aspects of youth engagement, advocacy, collaboration and meaningful participation. It was also wonderful to meet UNFPA colleagues and YAB members from across Pakistan.

Learning about their different cultures, community work, experiences and working dynamics was truly inspiring. Every young leader brought a unique perspective to the platform. ✨

Grateful to UNFPA Pakistan, ACT International, UN colleagues and all YAB members for creating such an inclusive and meaningful space for learning, connection and collaboration.

🌟 UNFPA Pakistan Youth Advisory Board Capacity Building Workshop | Day 1 🌟

Wasaib Sanwaro’s Manager Director, Ghous Ghazala, successfully attended the first day of the UNFPA Pakistan Youth Advisory Board (YAB) Capacity Building Workshop, bringing together 25 young people from across Pakistan for two days of learning, dialogue and collaboration.

As a Youth Advisory Board Member of UNFPA Pakistan, transgender community representative, and teacher at a transgender school/centre in Multan, Ghous Ghazala proudly participated in the sessions, shared perspectives from the transgender community, and contributed to discussions focused on meaningful youth engagement and inclusive development.

The workshop began with great energy and enthusiasm, with YAB members actively participating, sharing their experiences and exchanging ideas.

The opening sessions were joined by Dr. Kadyrkulova Gulnara, Deputy Representative, UNFPA Pakistan; Ms. Jocelyn King, Second Secretary at the High Commission of Canada in Pakistan; and Mr. Mubashir Nabi, CEO, ACT International, who engaged with the young leaders and encouraged meaningful youth participation. UNFPA’s provincial colleagues also joined virtually to share updates on their work, upcoming programmes, events and opportunities across the provinces. YAB members engaged with the provincial teams, shared their insights and proposed ideas to strengthen youth engagement.

We are extremely happy and proud to see Ghous Ghazala representing the transgender community on this important national platform and contributing lived experiences, community perspectives and grassroots insights to the conversation.

Together, we are creating meaningful spaces where young people are not only heard, but actively contribute to shaping programmes, partnerships and solutions for their communities. 🤝🌍

At the Good Deeds Symposium in Multan, transgender and intersex community voices came together to say what inclusive SRHR must look like in South Punjab.

We want hospitals where our chosen names and identities are respected. We want trained providers, safe and affordable gender-affirming care, confidential mental-health support, and SRHR services that include—not exclude—us.

These are not special demands. They are the minimum standards of dignity, safety, and justice.

It is time for public-health institutions in Punjab to listen, learn, and act.

What we want in SRHR: healthcare that sees us, respects us, and serves us.
