🌟 Punjab Charities Commission, Home Department and Doaba Foundation (SDF as Co-host) arranged an Interactive Session & Capacity Building Workshop for NGOs in Multan.
📌 Impact: 180 NGOs enrolled from them 140 NGOs joined with more than 200 representatives. The Venue was Garrison Public Library, Multan.
📖 The program opened with the heartfelt recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Reyan Ahmed, highlighting the virtues of charity and its positive impact on philanthropists and social activists.
👋 Mr. Javed Iqbal (Doaba Foundation) welcomed participants, shared objectives, and outlined the journey of Doaba Foundation and PCC in building regulations, legal frameworks, and enabling environments for civil society.
📊 Mr. Abdul Aleem Najam, Focal Person South Punjab (PCC), delivered a technical session on compliance, governance, and safe charity practices.
🎤 Honourable Chief Guest Col. Shahzad Amir (CEO, PCC) gave the keynote address, sharing legal processes, implications, and solutions. He invited NGOs to access PCC portals and offices for support.
💬 The final panel, moderated by Mr. Javed Iqbal, included Col. Shahzad Amir, Ms. Ume Farwa Hamdani (Divisional Director, Social Welfare Department, Multan), and Mr. Aleem. NGO representatives raised issues of registration, renewal, and compliance—many resolved on the spot.
👏 Stage secretary duties were performed by Ms. Shazia Sarwar (Doaba Foundation). Closing remarks by Mr. Javed Iqbal thanked participants and the event teams of SDF and Doaba Foundation.
✨ The event concluded with a shared commitment to safe charities, transparency, and resilience in the NGO sector.
