اس سال کے موضوع "عالمی یکجہتی کو مضبوط بنانا اور مقامی لوگوں کو بااختیار بنانا" کے تحت سرگرمی میں بحران سے متاثرہ افراد کو انسانی امدادی اقدامات میں فعال شرکاء، شراکت داروں اور مقامی رہنماؤں کے طور پر بااختیار بنانے پر توجہ دی گئی۔
دوآبہ فاؤنڈیشن کا منشور ہے کہ بحران سے متاثرہ افراد صرف امداد کے مستحق نہیں، بلکہ وہ شراکت دار اور ہنگامی حالات میں اولین مددگار بھی ہیں۔

🌍 World Breastfeeding Week 2026 | Supporting Mothers, Nourishing Every Child 🤱💧
Doaba Foundation commemorated World Breastfeeding Week 2026 under the Climate Resilient, Inclusive & Sustainable (CRIS) WASH Project – Phase IV in District Lodhran through community awareness sessions held from 1–7 August 2026.

The sessions engaged pregnant women, lactating mothers, caregivers, Community Health Workers, and Village WASH Committee representatives to promote the importance of breastfeeding for maternal and child health.

Participants were sensitized on exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months, early initiation of breastfeeding, continued breastfeeding with complementary feeding, and the importance of family and community support.

The activity highlighted the strong link between breastfeeding, nutrition, safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in improving the health and well-being of vulnerable communities.

Together, we support mothers, nourish children, and build healthier communities. 💙

🌟 Punjab Charities Commission, Home Department and Doaba Foundation (SDF as Co-host) arranged an Interactive Session & Capacity Building Workshop for NGOs in Multan.
📌 Impact: 180 NGOs enrolled from them 140 NGOs joined with more than 200 representatives. The Venue was Garrison Public Library, Multan.

📖 The program opened with the heartfelt recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Reyan Ahmed, highlighting the virtues of charity and its positive impact on philanthropists and social activists.
👋 Mr. Javed Iqbal (Doaba Foundation) welcomed participants, shared objectives, and outlined the journey of Doaba Foundation and PCC in building regulations, legal frameworks, and enabling environments for civil society.
📊 Mr. Abdul Aleem Najam, Focal Person South Punjab (PCC), delivered a technical session on compliance, governance, and safe charity practices.
🎤 Honourable Chief Guest Col. Shahzad Amir (CEO, PCC) gave the keynote address, sharing legal processes, implications, and solutions. He invited NGOs to access PCC portals and offices for support.
💬 The final panel, moderated by Mr. Javed Iqbal, included Col. Shahzad Amir, Ms. Ume Farwa Hamdani (Divisional Director, Social Welfare Department, Multan), and Mr. Aleem. NGO representatives raised issues of registration, renewal, and compliance—many resolved on the spot.
👏 Stage secretary duties were performed by Ms. Shazia Sarwar (Doaba Foundation). Closing remarks by Mr. Javed Iqbal thanked participants and the event teams of SDF and Doaba Foundation.

✨ The event concluded with a shared commitment to safe charities, transparency, and resilience in the NGO sector.

World Environment Day 2026
Doaba Foundation, in collaboration with WaterAid Pakistan, proudly participated in the World Environment Day observance organized in coordination with the District Government Lodhran, the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), and the Social Welfare Department.
The event served as a platform to promote environmental stewardship, climate resilience, and collective action for a cleaner and healthier environment. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to protecting natural resources and advancing sustainable development practices within communities.
We were honored by the presence of Liaqat Ali Gillani Sb, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), District Lodhran; Nand Lal, Deputy Director Social Welfare; and the Deputy Director of EPA District Lodhran, along with representatives from government departments, civil society organizations, and community members.

Strengthening preparedness through coordinated action 🌡️
Doaba Foundation, in partnership withStart Network , conducted Tehsil and District-Level Heatwave Mock Drills & Simulation Exercises to enhance institutional readiness and response capacity for extreme heat events.
The drills were carried out in close collaboration with District Disaster Management Authority and Provincial Disaster Management Authority, engaging key government departments, emergency responders, and local stakeholders in .
Aligned with contingency planning, the simulations focused on:
✅ Testing coordination and communication mechanisms
✅ Practicing early response and evacuation procedures
✅ Strengthening roles and responsibilities of stakeholders
✅ Enhancing community-level preparedness and response
These simulation exercises play a vital role in improving timely, coordinated, and effective anticipatory actions to minimize heat-related risks and protect vulnerable populations.
