Under the UNICEF-supported Post-Primary Non-Formal Education (NFE) Centres for Adolescent Girls in Tharparkar and Umerkot under Sindh Learning Program (eTools Ref. PAK/PCA202398/PD2026515), TRDP invites qualified suppliers for the manufacture/preparation and supply of NFE Centre Visibility Plaques.

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗧𝗢𝗧)
The Directorate of Literacy & Non-Formal Education (DL&NFE), in collaboration with UNICEF, conducted training for 'Master Trainers' at Government Elementary College of Education, Hyderabad, from August 17 to 23, 2026. The Master Trainers will build the capacity of 120 NFE facilitators on the accelerated learning approach for out-of-school adolescent girls. Thardeep Rural Development Programme (TRDP) is implementing the NFE project in partnership with UNICEF and SELD. The core content covered child-centred and participatory pedagogy; teaching methods for literacy and numeracy; delivery of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL); management of multi-level, mixed-age NFE classrooms; the use of teaching and learning materials; and the assessment, equivalency, and certification processes for learners.
Creating safe, inclusive, and gender-responsive learning environments for adolescent girls was the key focus throughout the training. For the learners, this training will result in better-paced instruction through the learning packages, stronger literacy, numeracy, and learning outcomes, smoother progression toward equivalency and certification, and a safer, more engaging classroom environment that supports retention. Mr. Aftab Baloch, TRDP Focal Person for Climate Change, represented Thardeep Rural Development Programme (TRDP) at a national seminar held on 19–20 August 2026 in Murree and Islamabad. TRDP reaffirmed its commitment to translating the Climate and Environment Charter for Humanitarian Organizations into practical, locally led resilience strategies across Pakistan’s civil society sector. The Charter’s seven core commitments emphasize climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, environmental sustainability, community leadership, evidence-based action, cross-sector collaboration, stronger climate policies, and organization-specific targets aligned with National Adaptation Plans and the Paris Agreement.

𝗪𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽
Dr. Abdul Razzaque Nohri, a Chevening Scholar from the University of Birmingham, UK, conducted an online interactive session on “How to Win the Chevening Scholarship.” This was the first event in the mentorship series titled “Together We Learn,” initiated by TRDP, free of cost, for aspiring young students and professionals. Some 192 participates attended the session.
The session provided participants with guidance on the 'Chevening Scholarship', including its application process, eligibility criteria, and key requirements. The interactive session focused on the conceptual framework and techniques for preparing strong essays that demonstrate clarity in career plans and professional experience. It also included an interactive Q&A, during which participants discussed eligibility, the application and selection processes, and the overall Chevening journey.

We are expecting a young leader with exceptional career to share his journey of how he reached the top of the career pyramid during the next session planned for mid September 2026.
