At just 20 years old, Saniya Zehra founded Kashmir Pure Organics in 2022, inspired by her father’s beekeeping legacy in Pampore, Jammu and Kashmir. Her journey began with a mission to preserve the purity of honey and ensure fair pricing for both consumers and farmers. Starting with just 35 bee colonies, Saniya’s innovative practices and dedication have expanded the business to an impressive 650 colonies in just two years.
Kashmir Pure Organics specializes in premium honey varieties, including the sought-after Kashmiri acacia and monofloral honey, known for their purity and health benefits. Saniya didn’t stop there—she also ventured into the cosmetics market, offering unique products crafted from bee pollen and royal jelly. Her focus on sustainable and eco-friendly practices has garnered attention, making her a standout in the beekeeping industry.
With a production capacity of over 5,500 kg of honey annually, Saniya’s venture now achieves a monthly turnover of ₹2 lakh. Beyond profits, her business has empowered local communities by creating opportunities in sustainable farming and beekeeping, inspiring many young entrepreneurs in the region.
