Economic Policy Challenge - Can we win in the age of AI? We became a devil’s advocate and presented that AI consumption is essential for national productivity while, instead of focusing on exporting, we should focus on fixing systemic inefficiencies. We also realised that training a million people in AI while not having a way to integrate them in economy is a flawed idea unless we are ready to create new AI native positions in government and private organisations. Expecting someone to hire our students in the world while not hiring them ourselves lead to low quality talent given no on site experiences. Qamaruddin Malik Participates in Youth Conference Under Aawaz II Program

MIRPURKHAS: Qamaruddin Malik, President of the Mirpurkhas Special Sports & Welfare Association (MSSWA) Gulistan-e-Mazoren Mirpurkhas, participated in a Youth Conference held under the Aawaz II Program at the IBA Sukkur Campus, Mirpurkhas.

The conference was organized as part of the Aawaz II Program, implemented by Hari Welfare Association, led by CARE Pakistan, and funded by UK International Development from the UK Government.

The conference brought together young people, civil society representatives, and other stakeholders to promote youth participation, inclusion, empowerment, and community development.

اللہ تعالیٰ مرحومہ کی کامل مغفرت فرمائے، اپنی بے پایاں رحمتوں کے سائے میں جگہ عطا فرمائے، ان کی قبر کو نور سے بھر دے، انہیں جنت الفردوس میں اعلیٰ مقام عطا فرمائے، اور تمام اہلِ خانہ کو یہ عظیم صدمہ صبرِ جمیل، استقامت اور حوصلے کے ساتھ برداشت کرنے کی توفیق عطا فرمائے۔

میرپورخاص میں معذور افراد کے لیے قابلِ رسائی ووٹنگ کے حوالے سے آگاہی سیشن کا انعقاد

میرپورخاص: میرپورخاص اسپیشل اسپورٹس اینڈ ویلفیئر ایسوسی ایشن (MSSWA) گلستانِ معذورین میرپورخاص میں معذور افراد کے لیے قابلِ رسائی ووٹنگ کے حوالے سے ایک اہم آگاہی سیشن کا انعقاد کیا گیا، جس کا مقصد انتخابی عمل میں شمولیت کو فروغ دینا اور معذور افراد کو ان کے ووٹ کے حق اور انتخابی حقوق سے آگاہ کرنا تھا۔

آگاہی سیشن میں ڈسٹرکٹ الیکشن کمشنر کنور شجاعت علی اور اسسٹنٹ الیکشن کمشنر مشتاق علی مستوئی نے شرکت کی۔ افسران نے شرکاء کو الیکشن کمیشن آف پاکستان کی جانب سے قابلِ رسائی، جامع اور رکاوٹوں سے پاک انتخابات کے لیے کیے جانے والے اقدامات کے بارے میں تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔ انہوں نے مساوی حقِ رائے دہی کی اہمیت پر زور دیتے ہوئے معذور افراد کو جمہوری عمل میں بھرپور اور فعال شرکت کی ترغیب دی۔

اس موقع پر قمرالدین ملک، صدر MSSWA گلستانِ معذورین میرپورخاص، صلاح الدین، جنرل سیکریٹری، جمعہ خان، جوائنٹ سیکریٹری سمیت دیگر عہدیداران، ممبران اور معذور افراد بھی موجود تھے۔

تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے قمرالدین ملک نے ڈسٹرکٹ الیکشن کمشنر کنور شجاعت علی اور اسسٹنٹ الیکشن کمشنر مشتاق علی مستوئی کا آگاہی سیشن کے انعقاد پر شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے الیکشن کمیشن کے افسران کی جانب سے معذور افراد کے لیے قابلِ رسائی ووٹنگ کو فروغ دینے اور ان کے انتخابی حقوق کے تحفظ کے لیے کی جانے والی کوششوں کو سراہا۔

قمرالدین ملک نے کہا کہ اس نوعیت کے آگاہی پروگرام معذور افراد کو بااختیار بنانے اور انہیں جمہوری عمل میں فعال کردار ادا کرنے کی ترغیب دینے میں اہم کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ الیکشن کمیشن اور معذور افراد کی نمائندہ تنظیموں کے درمیان مسلسل تعاون ایک ایسے جامع انتخابی نظام کے قیام کے لیے ضروری ہے جہاں ہر اہل شہری اپنے ووٹ کا حق وقار، خودمختاری اور مساوی مواقع کے ساتھ استعمال کر سکے۔

سیشن کے اختتام پر شرکاء نے ووٹر آگاہی اور معذور افراد کے لیے قابلِ رسائی و جامع انتخابات کے فروغ کے سلسلے میں الیکشن کمیشن کی کوششوں کو سراہا اور اس عزم کا اظہار کیا کہ ایسے اقدامات کی بھرپور حمایت جاری رکھی جائے گی۔

Awareness Session on Accessible Voting for Persons with Disabilities Held in Mirpurkhas

MIRPURKHAS: An awareness session on accessible voting for persons with disabilities was organized at MSSWA Gulistan-e-Mazooreen Mirpurkhas to promote inclusive electoral participation and create awareness about the voting rights of persons with disabilities.

The session was attended by District Election Commissioner Kanwar Shujat Ali and Assistant Election Commissioner Mushtaque Ali Mastoi, who briefed the participants on the Election Commission of Pakistan's initiatives to ensure accessible, inclusive, and barrier-free elections. They emphasized the importance of equal voting rights and encouraged persons with disabilities to actively participate in the democratic process.

Among those present were Qamaruddin Malik, President of MSSWA Gulistan-e-Mazooreen Mirpurkhas; Salahuddin, General Secretary; Jumma Khan, Joint Secretary; along with other office-bearers, members, and persons with disabilities.

Speaking on the occasion, Qamaruddin Malik thanked District Election Commissioner Kanwar Shujat Ali and Assistant Election Commissioner Mushtaque Ali Mastoi for organizing the awareness session. He appreciated the efforts of the Election Commission officers in promoting accessible voting and safeguarding the electoral rights of persons with disabilities. He said that such awareness programs play a significant role in empowering persons with disabilities and encouraging their active participation in the democratic process. He further emphasized that continued cooperation between the Election Commission and organizations representing persons with disabilities is essential for building an inclusive electoral system where every eligible citizen can exercise the right to vote with dignity, independence, and equal opportunity.

At the conclusion of the session, participants appreciated the Election Commission's efforts to enhance voter awareness and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting initiatives that promote accessible and inclusive elections for persons with disabilities
