**MSSWA Gulistan-e-Mazooreen Wins Wheelchair Cricket Match by 8 Runs on the Anniversary of Operation Marka-e-Haq Bunyan-un-Marsoos**
Mirpurkhas: A wheelchair cricket exhibition match was organized at Gama Stadium, Mirpurkhas, under the auspices of Mirpurkhas Special Sports & Welfare Association (MSSWA) Gulistan-e-Mazooreen on the anniversary of the successful Operation Marka-e-Haq Bunyan-un-Marsoos.
The match was played between the teams of MSSWA Gulistan-e-Mazooreen Mirpurkhas and Dastagiri Welfare Organization (DWO).
The MSSWA team was led by captain Muhammad Irfan Ghouri, while the DWO team was captained by Irfan Pathan.
Batting first, MSSWA Gulistan-e-Mazooreen scored 59 runs. Qurban Ali played an outstanding innings and contributed 38 runs, playing a key role in his team's victory.
In reply, Dastagiri Welfare Organization managed to score 51 runs. Faisal Brohi was the top performer for DWO, scoring an impressive 32 runs.
On this occasion, Patron of Gulistan-e-Mazooreen Afaq Ahmed Khan, President Qamaruddin Malik, CEO of Dastagiri Welfare Organization Mahmood Sabri, and Abdul Saleem Khan addressed the gathering. They congratulated Field Marshal General Asim Munir on the historic victory against India and stated that the wheelchair cricket match, organized on the anniversary of the success of Operation Marka-e-Haq, symbolized the love and patriotism of persons with disabilities for the Armed Forces of Pakistan and their determination to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army in defending the country against any enemy.
They further stated that the organization of the wheelchair cricket match was clear evidence of the determination, abilities, and courage of persons with disabilities. They emphasized that sports play a vital role in promoting self-confidence, physical health, and social inclusion.
The speakers also appreciated the performance of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), stating that the department is carrying out exemplary work for the welfare and empowerment of persons with disabilities.
Later, trophies were presented to the winning and runner-up team captains, Muhammad Irfan Ghouri and Irfan Pathan. The guests praised the outstanding performances of both teams and congratulated the office-bearers of Gulistan-e-Mazooreen for organizing such a meaningful event.
During the ceremony, General Secretary Salahuddin, Jumma Khan, Faisal Brohi, Naveed Ali, and Jai Ram presented traditional Ajrak gifts to the guests.
The match was officiated by umpire Muhammad Iqbal, while scoring duties were performed by Saeed Ahmed.
