Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for His harvest.’ Then He summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out and to cure every disease and every illness."

Liturgical Reflection
The 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time emphasizes Christ’s compassion for His people, who are like sheep without a shepherd.Jesus calls and sends His disciples, entrusting them with authority to heal, liberate, and proclaim the Kingdom of God.The Gospel reminds us that the mission of the Church is rooted in Christ’s compassion and continues through each believer’s witness.The faithful are invited to pray for vocations, to support the mission of the Church, and to live as laborers in God’s harvest.The celebration at Mardan reflected unity, devotion, and thanksgiving, as the parish joined in Christ’s mission of love and service.

The faithful of Saint John Mary Vianney Parish, Peshawar City joyfully celebrated the Solemnity of Corpus Christi with the Eucharistic Procession, Sacred Heart Novena, and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Atif John, Homily by Rev. Fr. Waqas Shareef, and assisted by Rev. Fr. Tariq Mahmood, Parish Priest.
As Rev. Fr. Tariq Mahmood, in his characteristic fatherly generosity, warmly invited and welcomed Newly Ordained Priests Rev. Fr. Atif John and Rev. Fr. Waqas Shareef to the Parish, embracing them with brotherly charity and pastoral warmth a beautiful witness of priestly fraternity and ecclesial hospitality. A moment of special grace was witnessed as more than seventy children received the Holy Eucharist for the very first time. Following the Mass, Rev. Fr. Atif John and Rev. Fr. Waqas Shareef expressed sincere gratitude to Rev. Fr. Tariq Mahmood, the Pastoral Team, and the faithful for their devoted service, warm welcome, and loving participation.
