Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls. When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes and sells all that he has and buys it."

This Sunday’s Gospel presents the parables of the hidden treasure, the pearl of great price, and the net cast into the sea, each revealing the incomparable value of God’s Kingdom. The hidden treasure and pearl remind us that discipleship requires total commitment — surrendering all for the sake of Christ. The parable of the net teaches that at the end of time, God will separate the righteous from the wicked, affirming His divine justice.The faithful are invited to recognize the Kingdom as the greatest treasure, worth every sacrifice, and to live with joy, courage, and fidelity. This Sunday’s Gospel presents the parables of the weeds among the wheat, the mustard seed, and the yeast, each revealing the mystery of God’s Kingdom. The Gospel of this Sunday presents the Parable of the Sower, reminding us that the Word of God is living seed, sown generously into the hearts of all. Yet, its fruitfulness depends on the soil of our souls. Hardened hearts, shallow faith, and worldly distractions can choke the seed, but those who receive the Word with openness and perseverance bear abundant fruit.This liturgy calls us to examine the soil of our lives: Are we receptive to God’s Word? Do we allow His Spirit to transform us? The faithful at Mardan gathered with devotion, listening to Christ’s teaching and renewing their commitment to live as fertile ground for the Gospel.🙏
