Shaheen Debate Council was established in November, 09th, 2016 with an aim to identify and develop highly skilled international level debaters and trainers who can represent Pakistan in international forums, and train young talent about debate. The Shaheen Debate society is composed of entities located in the lyari (established in 14 Aug, 2015)
Shaheen Debate society is the provider of debate edu
cation, providing resources, training and events to educators and young people. Debate society works with Colleges and universities, debate organizations and community groups and partners with foundations, NGOs, businesses, and governments. Shaheen Debate society believes that debate promotes mutual understanding and informed citizenship around the Lyari and that its work with young people leads to increased critical thinking and tolerance, enhanced cultural exchange and greater academic excellence. We believe debate provides a forum for the open exchange of ideas and the opportunity to consider an opposing point of view. Debate nurtures critical thinking and dialogue. We want to be provider of resources for young people to develop their argumentation and debate skills.
