🌍 World Environment Day 2026 Celebrated in Layyah
Awami Development Organization (ADO), in collaboration with PPAF and the CVE Movement, successfully organized a seminar to commemorate World Environment Day 2026 under the theme "Resilient & Rising Pakistan" at Nawaz Sharif School of Eminence Hall, District Layyah.
The event brought together government officials, environmental experts, academia, civil society representatives, women leaders, youth, students, and community stakeholders to discuss the causes and impacts of climate change and explore collective solutions for a sustainable future.
The seminar commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH), and the National Anthem of Pakistan, followed by a welcome session and a documentary screening on environmental challenges and climate resilience.
Distinguished speakers including District officers from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Forest Department, Social Welfare Department, Labor Department, Education Department, SUTHRA Punjab, academia, and representatives from civil society organizations and local community emphasized the urgent need for collective action to address climate change and protect natural resources.
The event concluded with an environmental awareness walk and a tree plantation activity, reaffirming participants’ commitment to building a greener, cleaner, and climate-resilient Pakistan.
Together, we can create a sustainable future for generations to come.

In UC Ghaghbar, Awami Development Organization distributed 300 Winterization Kits and Kitchen Kits among flood-affected beneficiaries supported by United Nations OCHA Pakistan and Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas - CBPF.

The distribution activity was attended by Rana Amir Liaqat, Mr. Muhammad Tufail Ahmad (Chief Operating Officer, ADO along with project staff, Dr. Qaiser, Qaswar Abbad, and Tariq Sial.

The participation of government officials, technical representatives, and community stakeholders strengthened transparency, accountability, and coordination during the humanitarian distribution process.

In UC Ghaghbar, Awami Development Organization with the help of United Nations OCHA PakistanCentro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas - CBPF distributed 300 Winterization Kits and Kitchen Kits along with 150 Disease Control/Vector Control Kits among flood-affected beneficiaries.

The distribution activity was attended by Rana Amir Liaqat, Mr. Muhammad Tufail Ahmad (Chief Operating Officer, ADO), project staff, Dr. Qaiser, Qaswar Abbad, and Tariq Sial.

The distribution activity was attended by Raja Imran Iftikhar, Muhammad Saif Ullah, project staff, Mahar Muhammad Ashraf Nonari, Mahar Muhammad Nawaz Shakoor, and representatives from local electronic press and media of Tehsil Kabirwala.
