This page has been created in order to recognize the very old and influential tribe of the great Marwats. The tribe hides very rich history but unfortunately very few historians tapped them. Though Marwats have low rate of literacy but their efforts towards making peace, promoting entertainment, protecting Religion and contributing to Pashtun tribe as a whole are outstanding. They migrated from Af
ghanistan and link their genealogy to Shah Hussain And his Wife Bibi Mato. Historian are agree that migration took place in the hope of finding better livelihood. On the way from Afghanistan to the current Lakki Marwat they setteled at many places and fought several battles against Khattaks, Niazis, Gandapurs and Wazirs. People here are outspoken, very typical and leading simple life. Even economic depressions, droughts, Terrorism and political destabilization never stopped them from creating fun and happiness. But they also creat a real hardship in competition for the rest of the country in fields other than farming i.e. Politics, Bureaucracy, Education, Business etc.Well Known political and business family of Saifullah belongs to Marwat tribe.
