Noise pollution is more than an inconvenience. It is a growing public health concern affecting concentration, mental well-being, hearing health, and quality of life.

Students of BS Public Health 2024–28 Evening Batch presented awareness posters addressing key environmental and health issues, including:

πŸ₯‡ Transportation Horn Noise Pollution
πŸ₯‡ Loud Earpods = Silent Damage

πŸ₯ˆ Environmental Hygiene
πŸ₯ˆ Noise Pollution in Classrooms
πŸ₯ˆ Behavioural Noise Pollution

πŸ₯‰ Protecting Children from Noise Pollution
πŸ₯‰ Noise Pollution. A Silent Threat to Health

The activity highlighted the role of public health students in promoting awareness through evidence-based communication and community-centered advocacy.

We were honored by the visit of Dr. Nauman Ali Ch. and Dr. Muhammad Navid Tahir, who appreciated the students’ efforts and engagement throughout the presentations.

🦟 World Malaria Day | 25 April

Malaria remains a major public health challenge, but progress shows that elimination is achievable.

Since 2000:
β€’ 2.3 billion cases prevented
β€’ 14 million lives saved
β€’ 47 countries declared malaria-free

Where we stand today:
β€’ 10 million children protected annually through vaccines
β€’ 84% of new mosquito nets are more effective

Pakistan context:
β€’ 2.7M+ confirmed cases (2023)
β€’ Flood-related surge in recent years
β€’ Sindh & Balochistan most affected

But the burden persists:
β€’ 282 million cases globally
β€’ 610,000 deaths reported in 2024
β€’ Drug and insecticide resistance remain key threats

What matters now:
β€’ Consistent prevention measures
β€’ Early diagnosis and treatment
β€’ Strengthened public health systems

A malaria-free future depends on sustained action and coordinated efforts.
