Women workers in sanitation, domestic work, brick kilns, agriculture, cottage industries, and factories are the invisible backbone of our everyday lives. Most come from marginalized minority communities and remain trapped in informal, hazardous, and underpaid work.

Many of these occupations continue to resemble modern forms of slavery. Through its Khushhali Fellowship, CLJ is proud to work with the next generation from these families to help break the cycle of poverty and bo***ge.

This International Women’s Day, under the theme “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls,” let us recognize their dignity, value their labor, and demand real protection, justice, and opportunity for the women too often left behind.
