President LCCI Faheem Ur Rehman saigol at an important meeting with Prime Minister Mr Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad. During the meeting, they held detailed discussions on the upcoming federal budget and the country’s overall economic situation.
The President of the Lahore Chamber emphasized the need to adopt an export-oriented economic strategy, immediately abolish the Punjab Infrastructure Development Cess, and create a more business-friendly environment. He stated that the cess is increasing the cost of doing business and negatively affecting the competitiveness of the export sector.

He also called for further relaxation and eventual removal of restrictions on business operating hours, noting that such measures are adversely impacting commercial activities, employment, and overall economic growth.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of policy continuity, reducing the cost of doing business, promoting industrial development, boosting exports, and creating better investment opportunities.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the recommendations put forward by the business community and assured that these suggestions would be taken into consideration during the upcoming federal budget formulation process 🇵🇰

The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry and All Pakistan Outdoor Advertising Association (APOAA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate for the Lahore Shopping Festival 2026.
The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a strategic collaboration between LCCI and APOAA for the successful organization and promotion of the Lahore Shopping Festival 2026 (LSF-2026).
Under this arrangement, LCCI will facilitate APOAA by providing exhibition space including booths, on-ground branding opportunities, press and media coverage through its platforms, digital and print promotional support, website presence, social media visibility, and advertising space at LCCI premises.
In return, APOAA will extend complimentary outdoor advertising support including hoardings, LED streamers, large digital screens, flex banners, and full ex*****on of outdoor promotional materials to enhance visibility and outreach of the festival.
The agreement is aimed at jointly strengthening promotional impact and ensuring wide-scale public engagement for LSF-2026.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol, President LCCI and Mian Muhammad Rafique, Founder & Chairman APOAA.
Senior Vice President Mr. Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh was also present.
