Film Museum Society, Lahore, Pakistan. Film Museum Society (FMS) was established on October 01, 2007. pre-and-post-Partition magazines). We try covering SAARC nations.

It promotes research on Pakistani film and has a collection of about 30000 film archives (pictures, booklets, posters, incl. “Men women film production ratio was 100:60 during Nazimuddin’s era. It dropped to zero during Nawaz era and revived to 19% during the Musharraf era. Women made most films: 69 during the Zia era, 46 during Musharraf era and 43 during Bhutto era. Women’s annual film productio

n rate was highest during the Bhutto era. 8 out of a total of 15 women producers and directors of Pashto films emerged during the Zia era. Pashto film reached its peak in Zia’s era, Sindhi film in Benazir Bhutto’s era (collapsed during Nawaz era), and Punjabi in Nawaz’s era. What we call decline was primarily the shift of finance from Urdu to regional language films. Pashto film did not decline as Punjabi and Urdu films, though its production rate was reduced to half and continued dropping in the first decade of the new millennium” (Wajiha Raza Rizvi, Encyclopedia of Women & Islamic Cultures, Brill Academic Publishing, 2018).
