Founded in 2012, PYDS (Participatory Youth Development Society) is a non-profit organization committed to fostering positive change through youth empowerment and sustainable development. We believe in the power of youth to lead solutions to the challenges faced by marginalized communities, promoting sustainable practices that create long-term benefits for society. Our approach is community-driven,
with a focus on youth leadership, livelihood development, education, health, disaster resilience, and environmental sustainability. Through our work, we address interconnected issues to ensure that all sectors—people, animals, and the environment—thrive together. Our Key Focus Areas:
Youth Empowerment: Encouraging young people to take leadership roles, becoming active participants in the development of their communities. Community Support: Designing and implementing programs that uplift vulnerable populations, especially women and rural communities. Sustainable Livelihoods: Creating economic opportunities, including support for women through livestock and agricultural development. Disaster Relief: Providing urgent health camps and relief services in disaster-affected areas to support communities and their animals. One Health Approach: Integrating human, animal, and environmental health to create holistic, sustainable solutions. This approach emphasizes the welfare of farm animals as part of broader efforts to improve public health, prevent zoonotic diseases, and promote environmental sustainability.
