As part of our ongoing World AIDS Day 2025 celebrations, Active Help Organization (AHO) organized an impactful awareness seminar in Lahore to express solidarity with People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and other marginalized communities.
The event focused on delivering key awareness messages on HIV prevention, treatment adherence, and human rights. Participants were encouraged to become change agents and awareness ambassadors, helping promote acceptance, dignity, and equal access to services. Stakeholders were urged to strengthen their support in ending stigma and discrimination faced by PLHIV.
The interactive session included:
* Awareness documentaries on HIV, stigma reduction, and community empowerment
* A powerful theatre performance by AHO’s outreach team addressing stigma, violence, and discrimination
* Motivational messages for marginalized communities
* Presentation of gifts to PLHIV participants invited to the seminar
Distinguished speakers included:
Dr. Kulsoom Akhtar (Project Manajer AHO), Haji Muhammad Hanif (CEO AHO), Mr. Kamran Raza (CBO Manager, Punjab AIDS Control Program) along with other honorable guests and AHO team members.

The session focused on raising awareness about HIV prevention, treatment adherence, and the urgent need to end stigma and discrimination. Participants were encouraged to become change agents and awareness ambassadors, helping others access services confidently and without fear.
The event featured:
* Interactive discussions with community members
* Awareness documentaries on HIV, stigma, and human rights
* A powerful theatre performance by AHO’s outreach team, highlighting stigma, violence, and the challenges faced by PLHIV
* Messages of solidarity and empowerment for marginalized groups
Distinguished speakers included:
Dr. Kulsoom Akhtar (Chairperson AHO), Haji Muhammad Hanif (CEO AHO), Dr. Afifa Javed (WMO AHO – Lahore), Ms. Sameeta Khanum (Team Leader SKP), Dr. Maria (In-charge ART Center DHQ SKP), Mr. Muhammad Tariq (Assistant Director Social Welfare Department SKP), and Mr. Abbas Bhatti (Site Manager Nai Zindagi Trust SKP) along with his team.
Stakeholders from Lahore and Sheikhupura, community representatives, and AHO teams also attended and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting PLHIV, promoting dignity, and creating an inclusive, stigma-free environment.
