Criminal Law Course: Modules - C (Evidence & Criminal Trials in Pakistan) & D (Criminal Appellate Remedies)

Mian Izhar Ahmed, a practising advocate from Lahore, with over fifteen years of experience, specialises in criminal law and white-collar crimes. He also handles financial crimes and corruption, areas in which he has extensive experience. As the founding and managing partner of JurisEdge Associates, a Lahore-based law firm, Mr. Ahmed deals with a diverse range of legal matters. In addition to his legal practice, he has also acted as a trainer in various training sessions.

Civil Law Course: Module - E - Banking Laws & Recovery Proceedings

Mr. Nadeem Irshad, Advocate High Court is a Partner at Irshad & Irshad Law Firm. He completed his LLB (Hons) degree from Punjab University Law College in 2012 and was enrolled as an advocate the same year. He was enrolled as an Advocate High Court in 2015 and has been actively practicing law for more than 13 years. He specializes in banking, civil and corporate matters and regularly appears in High Courts, Banking Courts and Civil Courts.

Ms Erfa Kayani is an Advocate of High Courts. Currently, she is working at the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan - the apex corporate regulator. She has completed her Bachelor's of laws from Bahria University Islamabad and MS in IR from SZABIST and an LL.M in international Commercial and Dispute Resolution from UK. She is also a part of the visiting faculty at Bahria University and Quaid e Azam University Islamabad.

Mr. Asad Sami Butt is a law graduate from University of London, and is an Advocate of higher courts of Pakistan. He has been practising law for over 14 years, especially in the field of Islamic law, Constitutional law, Family Law, Civil Law and related areas. He is a founding partner of the firm, Asad Sami Butt Law Associates, established in 2020. Mr. Asad, takes keen interest in educating young minds and has been educating various subjects of law in different colleges in Lahore, notably including Pakistan College of Law (PCL).

Introducing our Faculty for LLAA’s Young Lawyers Training Program, 2025

Civil Law Course: Module - B

Ahmed Shoaib Atta, a law graduate of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Class of 2019, is an Advocate High Court and a partner at his law firm, based in Rawalpindi and Mianwali. His practice spans numerous civil, criminal, family, labour, and rent matters, including extensive work on rent petitions before Rent Tribunals, as well as cases before district courts and the High Court, where he has secured significant interim reliefs, including in a petition challenging the powers of the interim government. He has also pursued public interest litigation on issues such as animal welfare, including petitions for the closure of Lahore Zoo, relocation of bears, and prevention of dog culling. In addition to litigation, he handles corporate, transactional, and regulatory work for organizations including Engro Enfrashare (Private) Limited, Tranzum Courier Service (TCS), and HBL Microfinance Bank.

Introducing our Faculty for the LLAA’s Young Lawyers Training Program - 2025

Civil Law Course - Module - A: Mr. Fahad Malik & Mr. Ibrahim Haroon

Mr. Fahad Malik is a graduate of LUMS and has been practicing law since 2011. He runs an all service law firm that handles litigation in constitutional, civil and white-collar crime matters. Malik is an active litigator, and conducts strategic public interest constitutional litigation for achieving climate justice, climate adaptation, as well as for protection of fundamental rights and capacity building of governmental institutions, along with his regular professional services. He teaches Civil Procedure and Climate Change and Policy at the Sheikh Ahmed Hassan School Of Law at LUMS, and regularly conducts trainings and workshops with judicial officers, police and prosecution on tackling gender based violence and ensuring due process.

Mr. Ibrahim Haroon is an Advocate of the High Court and runs Aamer Raza Law Associates. He holds a B.A-LL.B (Hons.) from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and an LL.M from Cornell Law School. With over nine years of legal practice, Mr. Haroon has worked at various levels of Pakistan’s judicial system commencing his career at Ahmed Waheed Khan Law Associates. He has also been associated with renowned advocate Khwaja Haris Ahmed, participating in high-profile cases. Mr. Haroon’s areas of practice include civil law and service laws. He has been an active member of the legal academia since 2015, serving as adjunct faculty at multiple institutions including Punjab University Law College, Pakistan College of Law, Kinnaird College and the Civil Services Academy for Pakistan Administrative Services training programs. Mr. Haroon regularly contributes to legal literature through his research publications in the Pakistan Law Review and his work as co-editor of Justice Aamer Raza A. Khan’s commentary on “The Code of Civil Procedure.”

Introducing our Faculty for the LLAA's Young Lawyers Training Program - 2025

Constitutional Law Course - Module - B:

Mr. Asghar Leghari is a legal counsel practicing in Pakistan and a Founding Partner at PrimeLegalCo., Advocates & Corporate Counsel. Asghar started his career as a transactional lawyer focusing on projects and infrastructure finance in the energy sector. Thereafter he transitioned primarily into litigation, where also gained considerable experience representing clients in contentious matters before the courts and administrative authorities. Asghar has been involved in various areas of law, including constitutional and administrative law, and has been a part of various key initiatives. In a pro bono matter before the Lahore High Court, he has also successfully challenged the inaction of the Federal and Provincial Government against climate change, leading to the creation of the Climate Change Commission. In 2024, Asghar was Climate Fellow at Yale University’s Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship and has also served as an Assistant Advocate General at the Office of the Advocate General, Punjab.
