National Initiatives for Community Empowerment (NICE) is a voluntary, non-profitable, social welfare organization which was formed in
2005 and registered in 2008 under Societies Act 1860. NICE aims to bring a genuine difference to the lives of local people by managing funds provided by individual philanthropists and Human welfare (donor) organizations. It tries to build endowment and acting as a bridge between donors and local needs, connecting the community people with causes, and enabling them to meet their basic needs. The ultimate objective of NICE is to develop a society free from all kind of exploitation and discrimination. NICE provides professional assistance to and seeks to enhance the social functioning of all age groups, both rich and poor. The primary function of NICE is to facilitate community-driven skills training, education opportunities & to build the capacity of individuals, groups and community equipped with the basic knowledge and skill to assist government and private agencies in the sound development of their welfare programmes. NICE supports local initiatives including activists, CBOs and NGOs in its operational areas.Currently NICE is working in Lahore, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Kasur & Muzaffarabad Districts.
