Ye Community Pakistan in partnership with Plan9 is organizing the 'Gig Economy Startup Competition'. The gig economy has become a new work paradigm that has shown significant growth in Pakistan. This competition is all about presenting the best and the most innovative solutions to provide opportunities of income stream to the masses.

Apply with your startup idea from anywhere in Pakistan and watch the Award ceremony live on Ye Community and Plan9 Page to check if they have won.

The top three highest-scoring startups will be awarded prize money of PKR 100K, 50K, and 30K respectively.

Read the instruction and fill the form very carefully.

Instructions:
1- Last Date to apply is 03rd January 2022.
2- This competition is accepting applications from all over Pakistan.
3- Shortlisted startups will be contacted through phone calls and emails where they will be further asked to
submit a 2 minutes pitch video of their startups.
4- The result will be announced on 06th January 2022 at YE Community Award Night held at Arfa Tower, Lahore.
5- LIVE event coverage will be shown on YE Community and Plan9 pages.
6- Winning Startups Prize Money will be transferred to their provided bank account within 2 weeks after
the competition has taken place.
7- Physical presence of startups is not compulsory for the competition. Those living or visiting Lahore on the day
of the competition are welcome to attend.
8- No financial assistance will be provided to anyone who is visiting Lahore for the event.

Plan9 - PITB's Tech Incubator in collaboration with International Trade Centre powered by Ye Community Pakistan is hosting Ali Murtaza, leading the design team at IDEATE Innovation, who will be sharing key lessons and deliberate on UI/UX Experience for customers.

Ali Murtaza is a designer and design educator currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. SCAD graduate has worked on branding, illustration, user experience, and industrial design projects with clients like the World Bank, Dolby Labs, Grid Impact, Coke USA, Working Class Studio, and Innovations for Poverty Alleviation Lab (IPAL). He has also been teaching at design and engineering schools since 2015, while being deeply involved in Pakistan’s burgeoning maker scene, as the program manager of Makeistan by ITU by ITU by ITU, Pakistan’s first academic makerspace.

How can start-ups keep a track of their milestones? It is through Key Performance Indicators, commonly known KPIs. These act junctures denoting the achievements of the benchmarks in the start-ups path to growth. Not only do they bring to light the fulfilment of benchmarks that denote performance, they also highlight areas that need improvement to bring the effectiveness and efficiency up to scratch.
