Business Accounting and Finance society (BAFS) has been formed by keeping in view the inclination of students towards business studies. The business education could not be confined to just reading, the knowledge of business requires its practice and implementation in the real world. A business student should be well-equipped with the ongoing scenario of business world. The brain storming of busine

ss students is a crucial part for the understanding of current situation of business around the globe. BAFS is dedicated to provide a platform for those students who are keen to understand the real world business. This purpose of BAFS is accomplished by organizing different seminars, discussion cells, debate competition; specifically on business issues, business plan competitions, lectures of eminent entrepreneurs, by issuing business journals, and various other activities. BAFS also welcome students from other disciplines, so that they can also understand the business world through an uncomplicated way.

On Feb 27, 2025, GCU Lahore's BAF & Commerce Societies hosted a seminar on Competition Law with the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP). Esteemed speakers DG Shahzad Hussain, DG Ahmed Qadir, and Member Bushra Naz Malik shared insights on fair market practices, covering topics like cartel detection and deceptive marketing. The interactive Q&A session enhanced students' understanding of the CCP's role in protecting consumers and promoting competition in Pakistan.
