Due to great command over Islamic law and jurisprudence Hazoor Zia ul Ummat was requested to provide guidance in capacity of Justice of Federal Shariat Court of Pakistan; Qibla Pir Muhammad Karam Shah was sworn in as Justice of Federal Shariat Court in June 1981. He worked with famous judges of the apex court including Justice Zullah, Nasim Hasan Shah and M. Rafiq Tarar (Ex-President of Pakistan). Hazoor Zia ul Ummat worked towards the effectuating the laws of Pakistan in accordance with Quran and Shariah of Rasool e Kareem (PBUH). Pir Sb wrote some historic decisions during his career including 1989 SCMR 2012; 1997 SCMR 377; 1997 SCMR 543, 1990 PLD 99 Supreme Court which laid down laws and the same are followed till date. Pir Sb was a member of the advisory board of Darul Mal Al-Islami which was working for Islamic banking. Once there was controversy on an issue among the members. All members presented their papers but the issue could not be resolved. There was consensus among the members to accept the opinion of Pir Sahib. Qibla Pir Sb’s vision of free and speedy justice and application of laws in Pakistan in accordance the the true spirit and essence of Shariah of Rasool e Karim (PBUH) remains of great source of guidance. Barrister Pirzada Aurang Zaib grandson of Hazoor Zia ul Ummat,( (partner at Ibrahim & Ibrahim Advocates and Corporate Consultants), through various initiates has carried forwards vision of Hazoor Zia ul Ummat. Primarily, the aim of the ZLF is to provide a forum for all those lawyers and individuals engaged in the profession of law and who are pupils of, committed to, or have links with Astana Aalia Bhera Shareef to connect and assist each other in matters that may arise, share and discuss legal issues/ideas and most importantly to mutually work on the vision of Hazoor Zia ul Ummat through various assignments and initiative that shall be taken by the society in due time to effectuate speedy and free legal aid.
