He is currently associated with LUMS, one of the prestigious University in Pakistan, and has been cited as the top researcher for 2025.

Recognised among the top 1 in 1,000 researchers worldwide, Dr. Syed Aun R. Rizvi has been named to Clarivate’s 2025 Highly Cited Researchers List. He is a faculty member at the Suleman Dawood School of Business.

This recognition reflects over a decade of influential research in financial economics, macroeconomic shocks, climate risks, and Islamic finance. Dr. Rizvi’s work informs policymakers, especially across Asia-Pacific, coastal, and island economies, strengthened by long-standing collaborations with central banks and international researchers.

The Atlantic : A High IQ Makes You an Outsider, Not a Genius

Acing an intelligence test only counts for so much.

Nowhere are the downsides of the genius myth more obvious than in ultrahigh-IQ societies. I don’t mean Mensa International, which began in England after the Second World War; it asks only that members are drawn from the top 2 percent of the population. Even more rarified are groups such as the Mega Society, which was limited to people with “one-in-a-million” intelligence.

Mensa Pakistan held its meeting at the ICMAP , attended by the core team members from Karachi. The agenda included briefing on the test held at IoBM Karachi, revival of activities in Karachi, and to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants (ICMA International) for joint collaboration and activities.

Mensa Pakistan conducted its standardised global IQ test session at the IoBM (CBM) Karachi - The test was managed by Faculty IoBM and Joint Secretary MPK Umãir Sãni, under supervision of Chairman MPK Hasan Zuberi.

A good number of students participated in the session. We wish all the participants good luck and hope to welcome them in the Mensa fold.

Mensa Pakistan conducted its exclusive session at TNS Beaconhouse Defense campus .

A good number of students participated in the test session, which was managed by young Mensans Muhammad and Saad, under supervision of Chairman Mr. Hasan Zuberi.

We wish all the participants best of luck and looking forward to welcome the qualifiers as part of the global Mensa family.

Mensa Pakistan has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Science & Technology (FOST), University Of Central Punjab (UCP) for managing Mensa IQ test session at the upcoming Science&Engineering Fest UCP (Season-III), scheduled to be held at UCP for 21 - 22 January 2025.

Thanks to the UCP team lead by Honorable Dean Dr Akhiyar Farrukh sb, our Mensa ManCom member Abubakar Alvi for their support and coordination.
