پاکستان یونائیٹڈ ورکر فیڈریشن کے عہدیداران کی صدر محمد اقبال کی قیادت میں صوبائی وزیر محنت خیبر پختونخوا سے اہم ملاقات۔
اس ملاقات میں سوات کی نمائندگی اتفاق لیبر یونین سی بی اے کے صدر عبدالودود نے کی۔ وفد نے مزدوروں کو درپیش مسائل اور مشکلات پر تفصیلی گفتگو کی۔

اس موقع پر صدر محمد اقبال نے مزدوروں کو درپیش مسائل و مشکلات کے ساتھ ساتھ خیبر پختونخوا کی لیبر کالونیوں کے مالکانہ حقوق مزدوروں کے نام منتقل کرنے کے حوالے سے خصوصی طور پر بات کی۔

اس موقع پر 10 رکنی وفد بھی موجود تھا جس میں رازم خان، اسلم عادل، ملک نوید، عبدالودود، محمد رسول، فہیم خان اور مسلم خان شامل تھے۔

ملاقات خوشگوار ماحول میں ہوئی، اور صوبائی وزیر محنت نے مزدوروں کے مسائل کے حل اور لیبر کالونیوں کے مالکانہ حقوق کی فراہمی کے لیے بھرپور یقین دہانی کرائی۔

Hi, I am Asad Memon, Deputy Secretary Pakistan United Workers Federation and a postgraduate in International Relations and a dedicated workers’ rights promoter with over 10 years of experience. I am deeply passionate about advocating for labor rights and promoting awareness among workers both in Pakistan and abroad. I have a strong interest in understanding and supporting the role of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), and I aspire to contribute as a volunteer. I also wish to propose meaningful improvements within OPF to better serve Pakistanis traveling abroad—whether for employment, visits, or conferences. In my view, every Pakistani traveling overseas should be encouraged to register with OPF as a reliable and protective mechanism, similar to insurance. Unfortunately, many so-called insurance providers exist only to fulfill visa requirements and often fail to offer real support when needed. In contrast, OPF is a credible, government-backed, and trustworthy institution that can provide genuine assistance and protection to overseas Pakistanis. I am committed to delivering accurate, impactful, and accessible information to a wide audience. I strongly believe that awareness is the key to empowerment, and my work consistently reflects this principle. Through my involvement in the labor movement, I aim to inspire millions of workers to take proactive steps toward understanding their rights, making informed decisions, and ensuring safe and lawful travel through the proper channels. My goal is to contribute to a more informed, secure, and empowered community of Pakistani workers worldwide.

Today at Karachi Club, we attended the farewell ceremony held in honor of Syed Athar Ali Shah, Regional Director Labour Karachi.
His dedication, professionalism, and valuable services for the protection of labour rights and the promotion of positive industrial relations will always be remembered and appreciated. Throughout his tenure, he worked with commitment and sincerity for the welfare of workers and the improvement of the labour sector.
PUWF extend its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Athar Ali Shah shb for his remarkable contributions in labour department and wish him good health, continued success, and a happy, prosperous future.
With great respect and best wishes from the labour community.

"National Tripartite Forum on Informal Workers’ Rights"
Pakistan United Workers Federation (PUWF)/ Labour Research and Development Institute (LRDI) with the support of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Pakistan under its Promoting Rights and Social Inclusion (PRS) Project funded by the Government of Japan , successfully organized a national tripartite forum on 14-Feburary 2026 at Flatties hotel Lahore bringing together more than 500 participants representing from government, employers, Unions, Media ,Academia, CSO’s and workers’ organizations.
The forum focused on advancing decent work, strengthening social dialogue, improving occupational safety and health standards, and accelerating the transition from informal to formal employment especially for vulnerable sectors such as domestic workers, sanitation workers, and plastic value chain workers.
Participants emphasized the urgent need for coordinated action to ensure social protection, legal safeguards, safe workplaces, and dignity for millions of informal workers across Pakistan.
PUWF remains committed to working with all stakeholders to promote workers’ rights, social inclusion, and a just transition toward formal employment.

یہ ایک غریب ورکر کے خواب چرانے کے مترادف ہے۔

الحمدللہ جدوجہد رنگ لے آئی 🇵🇰
جب ورکرز پر ظلم ہوا،
جب ان کے جائز گرانٹ کیسز 7 ماہ سے ایک سال تک بلاجواز روکے گئے،
جب انہیں دفاتر کے چکر لگوا کر مایوس کیا گیا
تو ہم خاموش نہیں رہے۔
مسلسل شکایات کے بعد معاملہ اٹھایا گیا،
تحقیقات ہوئیں اور حقائق سامنے آئے۔
نتیجتاً متعلقہ کرپٹ لیبر آفیسر کو فوری طور پر سسپنڈ کر دیا گیا
اور اس کے خلاف انکوائری کا آغاز کر دیا گیا۔
یہ واضح پیغام ہے:
❌ ورکر کا حق کھانے والا اب نہیں بچے گا
✊ مزدور کا استحصال اب برداشت نہیں ہوگا
ہم اقتدار نہیں،
ورکر کا حق اور انصاف مانگتے ہیں۔
انشاءاللہ یہ جدوجہد جاری رہے گی
اور ہر مظلوم ورکر کی آواز ہم بنے گی۔
