"At 18, most people are figuring out their first year of college. He was founding a national youth institution that would one day reach the United Nations."

Fahad Shahbaz didn't wait for a seat at the table. In 2015, at just 18, he built the table himself.
He founded the Youth General Assembly (YGA) — a grassroots idea that grew into one of Pakistan's most recognized youth platforms, bringing together emerging leaders, government institutions, and decision-makers to turn young voices into real public policy.
Today, alongside leading YGA, he serves as Managing Partner at Rehnuma Law and Focal Person for Pakistan's Prime Minister's Youth Programme — representing Pakistan at the United Nations, World Economic Forum, and the Commonwealth, connecting local impact with global conversations.
His commitment has earned him the Diana Award 2023 and a place on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2026 list in the Social Impact category.
One idea. One 18-year-old. A decade of national and global impact.
He believes investing in young people is the most powerful way to shape a stronger future — and he has spent every year since 2015 proving it.

He started at 18 with one idea. A decade later, Forbes noticed.

In 2015, eighteen year old Fahad Shahbaz looked around and saw that young Pakistanis had no real voice in the decisions shaping their future. So he built one.

The Youth General Assembly started small. Today it runs as a 96 member assembly, modelled on Pakistan's own Parliament, where young people debate policy and send real recommendations to government. Not symbolic. Not a photo op. Actual policy work.

This year, Forbes named Fahad to its 30 Under 30 Asia 2026 list under Social Impact. Combined with the Diana Award he received in 2023, he's now the only Pakistani to hold both honours.

Outside of YGA, he's Managing Partner at Rehnuma Law and Focal Person at the Prime Minister's Youth Programme, where he works on policy that reaches over 60 million young Pakistanis. He's also represented Pakistan at the UN, the World Economic Forum, and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, where he cast Pakistan's official vote at the Commonwealth Youth elections.

From one idea at eighteen to a Forbes list at twenty nine. This is what happens when you decide young people deserve to be taken seriously.

Every generation is defined by those who dare to challenge the status quo.

At just 18, Fahad Shahbaz refused to accept that young people should merely observe the future, he believed they should help shape it. What began as a single idea evolved into a national movement, giving thousands of young Pakistanis a platform to engage in leadership, policymaking, and meaningful change.

Today, that vision has earned global recognition. Named to Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2026 and previously honored with The Diana Award, Fahad's journey reflects the impact of purpose, perseverance, and service. His work continues to influence public policy, empower millions of young people, and represent Pakistan with distinction on international platforms.

This is more than a story of personal success. It is a reminder that one courageous decision can inspire a generation, transform institutions, and leave a lasting legacy.

International Personalities Digital Magazine proudly presents the inspiring journey of Fahad Shahbaz, a leader proving that age is never a barrier when your vision is bigger than yourself.

"Leadership is not about waiting for change. It is about becoming the reason change happens."
