1 October 2026 | “The Age of Longevity: Rethinking Systems for Longer Lives”**

On International Day of Older Persons, Sewa Development Trust recognizes the dignity, experience, contributions and rights of older persons.

Pakistan is experiencing a growing ageing population, making it increasingly important to strengthen *healthcare, social protection, family support and age friendly communities*. Older persons should not only be cared for, they should be respected, included and valued as an important part of our society.

🥗 Malnutrition: A Crisis Our Children Cannot Afford:

Malnutrition remains a serious challenge for children in Pakistan, particularly in vulnerable communities of Sindh. Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn and reach their full potential.

SDTS at Pakistan Localization Lab (PLL) National Convening 2026.

Advocate Dr. Khadim H. Dahot, Managing Director, Sewa Development Trust Sindh (SDTS), accompanied by Mr. Shahid Hussain, Member Board of Trustees, SDTS, participated in the Pakistan Localization Lab (PLL) National Convening 2026 held in Islamabad.

The convening brought together humanitarian and development actors under the theme:

“Building a Stronger Locally Led Humanitarian System in Pakistan through Collective Leadership, Localization, and Transformation.”

The event provided an important platform for local and national organizations to exchange experiences, strengthen collaboration, and advance the localization agenda in Pakistan. It also offered opportunities to reflect on the role of locally led organizations in shaping a more inclusive, accountable, and sustainable humanitarian system.

SDTS remains committed to strengthening local leadership, community-driven approaches, partnership, accountability, and locally led humanitarian and development action across Sindh and Pakistan.

🤝 Strengthening Partnerships for an Inclusive Sindh:

Sewa Development Trust Sindh (SDTS) was honored to welcome Mr. Abdul Qudoos, Regional Director, Sindh Persons with Disabilities Protection Authority (SPDPA), Government of Sindh, who visited the SDTS office along with Mr. Waseem Shaikh, Assistant Director, SPDPA.

The distinguished guests met with Advocate Dr. Khadim H. Dahot, Managing Director, Mr. Riaz H. Manglo, Program Director, and Ms. Aaina Batool, Finance Officer, to discuss opportunities for future coordination, networking, and collaboration.

The meeting focused on strengthening partnerships to promote the rights, inclusion, and empowerment of persons with disabilities (PWDs) through joint initiatives, knowledge sharing, and collaborative programming. Both organizations reaffirmed their commitment to working together to advance inclusive development, equal opportunities, and improved access to services for persons with disabilities across Sindh.
