In year 2003, he elected as Secretary General of “Consumer Voice Pakistan”, and in 2004, he elected its President respectively. He is a life member for Consumer Voice Pakistan. In year 2005, he organized a new organization “The Consumer Eye Pakistan (TCEP) to take consumer rights awareness drive at grass root level, such as in Schools, colleges, open bazaars, markets and Stores, specially in remote areas of Sindh and Punjab where he was belongs and where other NGO’s can’t reach, the new volunteers started joining TCEP in big numbers from all over Pakistan and today “The Consumer Eye Pakistan becomes a giant consumer rights protection organization only because of Mr. Umar Ghauri’s firm commitment towards cause and the active participation of TCEP’s volunteers “The Consumer Eye Pakistan (TCEP)” in the best three active Consumer N.G.O’s in Pakistan and now a member of “PAKISTAN CONSUMERS’ FEDERATION (PCF)” the Apex Consumers’ Body of Pakistan. Chairman Umar Ghauri believes in struggle but in a peaceful manner without any competitions. He gave thought to all of his volunteers that” if you waste too much time on counting the times you've lost, you will lose out on new opportunities glaring at you in the face, Serve people, serve Pakistan”. He Graduated at the University of Karachi, Pakistan. He is Masters in Journalism and English. He received many Excellence certificates and Awards for his services towards Journalism and Social Activities around the world. Professionally Mr. Umar Ghauri is a journalist, reporter, researcher and writer. He is the member of Pakistan Federation of Union of Journalist (PFUJ/ International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ). His mainly reporting beats are Business, Geo-political, Education, Health, social works, human rights, Environments, forest & wildlife. He specializes in history, culture and politics of Asia, Middle East and Europe. During his station in United Arab Emirates (UAE) He covered major stories across Asia, Middle East and Africa for the world's leading magazines, newspapers and news agencies. He always stood for human rights and press freedom. He has extensive knowledge of Asian and Arab culture. He is keen supporter of independent and progressive journalism. He has been a human right activist. He served as a twitter for Lion’s Club International, as Vice President for Asian journalists Association UAE, as Vice President and Secretary General for Business Association of S.S. Chamber, as Information Secretary of Sindh journalists Network, as President for Tanzeem Nojwanan-e- Aligarh, and as Joint secretary for RGL residence welfare Society and many others. The Consumers Eye Pakistan cooperates with Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) to promote Quality Standard Culture in Pakistan for the benefit of consumers. TCEP represents consumers in technical committees of Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA). TCEP’s representatives have been going with the PSQCA Task force mobile teams to check unregistered and substandard products in open markets/ Bazaars/ Factories/ Stores and super stores as an independent observer. TCEP is actively involved with PSQCA in improving quality and standards of the citizens by advocating accountability and code of conduct in government and society to promote standardization and Quality consciousness culture in Pakistan. In 2013 TCEP becomes member of “PAKISTAN CONSUMERS’ FEDERATION” the Apex Consumers’ Body of Pakistan.
