Concern for Children (CFC) is a nonprofit, non-government organization, founded in 1997. CFC is approved and registered under section 47(1) (d) of the Income Tax Ordinance of 1979 and also registered under voluntary Social Welfare Agency Ordinance 1961 (Government of Sindh). In prior years, CFC has paid special attention to preventive and primary health care, health education and health awareness.

While still engaged in these areas, in 2005 CFC turned its focus upon a specialized areas:
• The identification via Needs Assessments;
• Conception and eventual replication (upon successful implementation/ trials) of pilot projects. CFC recognizes the lack of resources within the social services sector in Pakistan and strives to carry out each project in partnership with other organizations. In compliance with CFC objectives, successful pilot projects serve as models for replication, in an effort to meet goals and build models for sustainable development for social problems concerning children within at-risk populations. CFC has published models for a 30-day Disaster Relief model, a 6-month Medical Relief Camps Project and Healthcare Intervention in urban katchi abadis (slums) in December 2007. Additional organizational long term objectives include CFC's strive to become involved in Legislative Policy matters, serving as a provider of viable solutions and creative alternatives to existing State-owned practices by means of advocacy. CFC also began its advocacy practices in December 2007 with the Sustainable Community Driven Development Pilot Project in Mohammadi Colony via advocating for the land lease for the residents of this community.
