We the students from university of Karachi visited new horizon care centre before a month ago (most of them are from department of psychology and social work) to check the effect of drug addiction and its treatment, while talking with the coordinator of new horizon care centre (nhcc) Mr. Sohail Malik we get to know about the centre is giving 100% free treatment to public, and provide food support
to the families as well as provide free medical facilities, that is the great service to humanity and mankind in this type of typical financial crises, we also get to know about the current working of centre that is the centre is engaged their patients in different type of activities i.e. they make cricket team, football team, free recommendation to exercise club and referral system for vocational traning etc, its founder younger brother of Mr. Sohail Malik, “shaheed naved younus” and its future policies that is there are more strategy to make more free rehabilitation centre even its ratio will be: there is every rehabilitation centre for instead of every drug sale point. Also in Pakistan there is no concept of free rehabilitation centre, although the poor people can’t afford the cost of its treatment. Students decide to do something to make a part in that mission that is drug free Pakistan. Also decide to do work voluntary for this institute and finally they decide to launch the campaign Named as Save 5 save Pakistan – From drug addiction, the objective of this campaign is to make aware people about effectiveness of drug & its addiction, also aware about the concept of treatment of drug addiction in the range of poor people. while it is also necessary to collect funds for more free rehabilitation centre to promote treatment of drug addiction also termed in psychological terminology that is substance use disorder. This campaign is launched for all educational institutes of Pakistan through all students will make aware about hazards of drug addiction. We welcome all students to make a part of this mission.
