Empowering Future Physiotherapists 💙

We were delighted to host DPT students of 6th semester from Iqra university for a 2-week clinical rotation at the Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi (HWSK). During their time with us, students gained valuable knowledge about bleeding disorders, along with hands-on experience in physiotherapy assessments and rehabilitation.

This rotation provided a meaningful opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and clinical practice, while deepening their understanding of patient care and the unique challenges faced by individuals with hemophilia

At the end of the program, certificates were distributed in recognition of their participation and clinical learning. We truly appreciate their enthusiasm and dedication, and wish them all the very best for their future endeavors! 🌟

World Hemophilia Day Celebration at Hemophilia Ward at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital Trauma Centre A project of Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi Pakistan

Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi (HWSK) commemorated World Hemophilia Day at the Trauma Centre of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, within the Hemophilia Ward, alongside patients and the dedicated HWSK medical team.

On this occasion, Mr. Raheel Ahmed Khan addressed the patients and highlighted an often-overlooked concern—the silent suffering of women, particularly mothers, sisters, and wives, who may be affected by bleeding disorders but are unable to disclose their condition due to prevailing social stigma.

He emphasized HWSK’s commitment to supporting these women by ensuring access to appropriate care while maintaining their dignity and confidentiality. The organization aims to take responsibility for their well-being by facilitating carrier identification through necessary diagnostic testing and providing medications and supplements as prescribed by healthcare professionals, based on individual needs.

Mr. Raheel Ahmed Khan also extended his sincere appreciation to the medical team for their unwavering dedication and continued support in improving the quality of care for patients with bleeding disorders

Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi Pakistan Youth Group Leading the Voice of Advocacy at FPCCI — World Hemophilia Day 2026

The active and inspiring participation of the HWSK Youth Group was one of the defining strengths of World Hemophilia Day 2026 at FPCCI, transforming the event from a seminar into a powerful platform for advocacy, awareness, and youth-led action.

Wearing the HWSK identity with pride, the youth delivered a clear message: people living with bleeding disorders deserve recognition, timely diagnosis, and access to treatment closer to home.

Their participation reflected not only commitment, but leadership, resilience, and the strength of a growing movement. Standing alongside policymakers, health stakeholders, medical experts, and community leaders, the Youth Group helped bring visibility to issues too often unheard.

The HWSK Youth Group extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Raheel Ahmed, Founder & CEO, HWSK, for his visionary leadership, mentorship, and for continuously creating space for youth to lead, advocate, and represent the community with dignity and purpose.

The Youth Group also sincerely thanks Dr. Zahid Hasan Ansari, Convener, FPCCI Central Standing Committee, for providing this important national platform at FPCCI and for standing with the bleeding disorders community to amplify awareness and advocacy.

Special appreciation is extended to Dr. Sham Sunder Advani , MPA & Special Assistant to the Sindh Chief Minister for Minorities Affairs, for his encouragement, solidarity, and strong support for expanding access to treatment care for patients across Pakistan.

HWSK Youth remains committed to carrying this voice forward for awareness, rights, and expanded hemophilia treatment access at the district level across Pakistan.
