Dr. Fahad Shafiq's Visit to Dar-ul-Noor Old Age Home, Karachi

We express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Fahad Shafiq, Coordinator, Prime Minister's Youth Programme Sindh, for visiting Vcare Social Welfare Society and Dar-ul-Noor Old Age Home, Karachi.
During his visit, Dr. Fahad Shafiq spent quality time with our senior residents, shared the joy of Father's Day, distributed gifts, cut the celebratory cake, and personally interacted with each resident, bringing smiles and happiness to their faces.

The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss future collaborations in the areas of advocacy, awareness, skills development, and capacity-building initiatives for both the youth and the ageing population.

We emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with the Government to promote and implement the United Nations Decade of Healthy Ageing (2021–2030) in Pakistan.

We look forward to working together to build an inclusive society where older persons can age with dignity, health, and wellbeing.

Advocating for Inclusive Food Security and Nutrition for Older People

Honored to participate in the Provincial Advocacy Event on Towards Inclusive Food Security and Nutrition Systems for Older People, organized by Foundation for Ageing and Inclusive Development (FAID) in collaboration with HelpAge International and Aktion Deutschland Hilft, under the project “Sustainable Solutions for Food Security and Hunger Crisis Mitigation (SSHCM)”.

As populations age, ensuring access to adequate nutrition, healthcare, and social support for older persons becomes a shared responsibility. This important dialogue brought together government departments, civil society organizations, development partners, and community representatives to promote sustainable and inclusive solutions for healthy ageing.

Since 2012, Vcare Social Welfare Society has been pioneering Healthy and Active Ageing in Pakistan through its day care services, residential care, community development programmes, research, advocacy, and capacity-building initiatives.
