It is focused to provide Interest free loans to deserving student on need cm merit basis for higher Education based on Shariah guideline and Islamic finance rules. Ihsan Trust is a not-for-profit organization, established in Jan 2010 as an independent Trust as per the guidance of Meezan Bank’s Shariah Board for effective distribution of Meezan Bank’s charity funds under a Waqf structure. The main focus of Ihsan Trust is to support the Higher Education of the students in Pakistan on need-cum-merit basis. The trust is providing "Interest-Free Loan" facility to the students of more than 160 Universities and Professional bodies across Pakistan. Ihsan Trust is Presided by Dr. Muhammad Imran Ashraf Usmani, who is a senior Shariah Board Member of Meezan Bank. Since inception, Meezan Bank remains the biggest supporter of Ihsan Trust through its charity fund and has always facilitated its operations by extending support to the trust as a supporter. Ihsan Trust is duly certified by Pakistan Centre of Philanthropy (P*P) and has Tax Exemption certificate u/s 2(36) from Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Pakistan. Ihsan Trust extends its financial assistance &support through the following modes:
1-Interest Free Loan facility on purely "Need Cum Merit" basis to the needy students for Higher Education in Pakistan.
2-Health Sector - Donation to hospital/health care units.
3-Relief & Rehabilitation in case of Disasters
4- Islamic Microfinance

Ihsan Trust Receives FBR Approval for Tax Exemption certificate 🎉

Alhamdulillah, Ihsan Trust is pleased to share that it has recently got ( Renewal) of the Tax Exemption certificate from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Government of Pakistan, under Section 2(36)(c) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, in respect of its status as a Non-Profit Organization.

The certificate is valid till June 30, 2027.

Alhamdulillah, Ihsan Trust is also P*P certified and its accounts are Audited by the top most Audit firm of the country i.e. M/s A. F. Ferguson & Co.

This recognition reflects Ihsan Trust’s continued commitment to transparency, compliance, and its mission of serving society through education, healthcare, community welfare, and interest-free educational financing.

We are grateful to Allah Almighty for this milestone and extend our appreciation to our trustees, team, partners, and supporters for their continued trust and support.

🌱 Plantation Drive & Ihsan Trust Awareness Session at Textile Institute of Pakistan (TIP)

Ihsan Trust, in collaboration with Textile Institute of Pakistan (TIP), brought together students, leadership, and partners for an engaging programme focused on education, community engagement, and environmental sustainability.

The programme featured an Ihsan Trust Awareness Session led by Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan, General Manager, Ihsan Trust, introducing students to Ihsan Trust’s mission and its efforts to make education more accessible through interest-free financial support.

Prof. Dr. Salman Abbasi, President, TIP, and Mr. Yousuf Bashir Qureshi also participated in the tree plantation drive alongside the Ihsan Trust team, Meezan Bank CSR team, Climate Matters team, and other participants, reflecting a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and a greener future. 🌿

Ihsan Trust is proud to support deserving students at the University of Karachi (UoK) through its Interest-Free Educational Loan facility.
To date, 500 students have been supported, with PKR 50 million disbursed towards their education. Through its extensive network of 145+ affiliated colleges and institutions, the University of Karachi continues to provide access to higher education to students across the region.

Interest-Free Educational Loans for MS & PhD Nursing Students

The valuable insights of Mr. Murad Shuaib Khan, Company Secretary, Pakistan Education Endowment Fund (PAK-EEF), highlighting the importance of the collaborative efforts of Ihsan Trust & PAK-EEF to expand access to quality higher education for deserving students.

He also highlighted that this joint collaboration is aimed at supporting deserving students through Interest-Free Educational Loans, particularly for MS and PhD programs in Nursing, thus working together to create greater educational opportunities, empower talented youth, and contribute towards building a stronger and more educated Pakistan.

The program will support students with their educational expenses, with repayment available over a period of up to 05 years after completion of their respective degree programs.

With the growing demand for qualified nursing professionals and faculty in Pakistan and around the world, this initiative aims to enable talented students to pursue advanced education and contribute to strengthening the nursing sector.

🌱 Plantation Drives and Ihsan Trust Sessions at Two Campuses of Iqra University, Karachi

Ihsan Trust, in collaboration with Iqra University, organized two plantation drives and an Islamic Finance session at its Main and M-9 Campuses, bringing together students and stakeholders to promote environmental sustainability, education, and awareness.

These were part of the second plantation drive organized by Ihsan Trust, following the first drive held at the University of Karachi on August 19, 2026. Dr. Muhammad Imran Ashraf Usmani, President, Ihsan Trust, and Ms. Imaan Hunaid Lakhani led the initiative at the Main Campus. At the M-9 Campus, the plantation drive was carried out by the Ihsan Trust team, Meezan Bank CSR team, and Climate Matters team.

The M-9 Campus also featured a session on Islamic Banking by M***i Zubair Ahmed, Shariah Board Member, Meezan Bank Ltd.; an introduction to Ihsan Trust by Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan, General Manager, Ihsan Trust; and a session on Environmental Sustainability by Mr. Riaz Ahmed, Executive Vice President & General Manager, Meezan Bank Ltd., who encouraged students to plant trees and contribute towards a greener future.

As a gesture of appreciation, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahnawaz Adil, Director, M-9 Campus, presented souvenirs to the senior management of Ihsan Trust and Meezan Bank for their participation and support.

A total of 30 trees were donated to and planted at Iqra University, contributing to the university’s long-term environmental sustainability and helping create a greener campus. 🌿
