Yesterday evening, 28th September, a man allegedly intoxicated inside his apartment at Hill Crest Residency, located on Jinnah Avenue, Bahria Town, Karachi, reportedly began with aerial firing. As if that wasnā€™t horrifying enough, he then threw his own pet cat from the 16th floor without hesitation.

Bahria Security and Sindh Police were both present at the scene. We are shocked and deeply disturbed by how someone could do something like this to a helpless animal.

We, as a community, are asking for one thing: justice for this innocent cat.

We hope people step up, speak out, and help ensure that the person responsible is held accountable for what happened šŸ˜­šŸ’”

They say it with their eyes. In the way they look at you when you walk into the room, the way they quietly follow you around, the way they wait for you to come back, and the way they trust you with their whole heart.

Thereā€™s something so pure about the way a dog looks at the person they love. No expectations, no conditions, no pretending ā€” just a little soul looking at you as if you are their entire world.

Maybe thatā€™s why their love feels so different. They donā€™t say ā€œI love you.ā€

My name is Machi, and today I want to tell you what happened to me. šŸ’”

I used to be someoneā€™s pet. I had a home once, but I donā€™t know what I did wrong. One day, I was abandoned in a place where there was barely any food or water for me.

I was kept inside a cage with many other cats. I didnā€™t know how to fight or protect myself. One day, another cat attacked my eye so badly that I lost it.

But that was only the beginning of my pain.

My injured eye became infected, and maggots began eating away at it. I was in so much pain, but no one came to help me. I just lay there, suffering, while my eye slowly deteriorated.

Then, one day, I was rescued along with many other cats.

I was taken to a place I had never seen before, and I didnā€™t know what would happen to me. But here, someone finally helped me. My wounds were treated, the maggots were removed, and the remains of my damaged eye were surgically closed.

I had already lost my eye, but at least the pain was finally gone.

For the first time in a long time, I had food. I had shelter. I didnā€™t have to sit outside in the heat. Slowly, the pain fadedā€¦ and I started finding my way back to life. ā¤ļø

I even had a sponsor who was covering my food and medical expenses.

But now, my sponsor can no longer continue supporting me.

So today, I am looking for someone new.

I may have lost one of my eyes, and because of that, I may never be the ā€œperfectā€ cat someone wants to take home. Maybe no one will choose to adopt me.

But I still deserve to be cared for.

Iā€™m just a tiny three-month-old puppy. My entire head was badly wounded and exposed, and I had been suffering like this for daysā€”hungry, thirsty, and covered in ticks. So many people saw me, but they simply walked away.

Then one person decided that my life was worth saving and sent me to a safe place. Iā€™m still very scared. Maggots were eating away at my head, and Iā€™m in so much pain. I donā€™t understand why I had to suffer like this.

Donkeys are some of the most innocent and hardworking souls. šŸ’” They spend their lives carrying our burdens, helping us work, and standing beside us without ever asking for anything in return.

Yes, they may be animals we depend on for work, but that never means they deserve to be beaten, overworked, neglected, or treated so cruelly that their entire life becomes nothing but suffering.

This is our beautiful horse, Atlas. We have attached his ā€œbeforeā€ video so you can see the condition he came to us in. His entire jaw was shattered, and he was bleeding heavily. He had lost a tremendous amount of blood, and his chances of survival were very low.

But Atlas is a true fighter. We tried everything we could for him until the very end. He underwent surgery, and MashaAllah, his jaw has healed beautifully. He can now eat normally again

Now, we need your help. Atlas will be staying with us permanently because he can no longer live like a normal horse. Even a small injury or impact around his mouth could cause serious problems for him in the future. He needs to remain under our care, where we can keep him safe and protected.

You can see how I look todayā€¦ happy, healthy, and finally able to smile.

But this is how I looked when I was found.

My jaw was completely broken. I was lying on the road, crying and screaming in pain, desperately asking for help. I couldnā€™t eat. I couldnā€™t drink. I was terrified, helpless, and completely broken.

Someone finally saw me and called a rescue team.

They came for me and brought me to the shelter, but by then, my condition was extremely bad. I was so scared, and honestlyā€¦ I didnā€™t even know if I was going to survive.

I hadnā€™t been able to eat or drink properly for days.

I needed emergency surgery immediately.

My rescuers didnā€™t wait. They got me into surgery so my jaw could be repaired and I could have a chance to eat, drink, and live again.

But even after the surgery, I couldnā€™t feed myself.

I had to be hand-fed. Someone had to sit with me, feed me, care for me, and make sure I got through every single day.

And slowlyā€¦ I started getting better.

Until one day, I became this Hope you see today. šŸ„¹ā¤ļø

You see us after we have healed.

You see our smiles, our happiness, our playful faces, and our beautiful transformations.

But our rescuers see us at our worst.

They see us on the roads, broken, bleeding, starving, terrified, and crying for help.

And every single day, they choose to come for us.

They donā€™t give up on us when our condition is frightening.
They donā€™t leave us when recovery is difficult.
They keep fighting for us until we get our second chance.

The happiness you see in us today is the result of all that work that happens when nobody is watching.

So pleaseā€¦ donā€™t take that help away from animals like us.

For many of us, these rescuers are the only people who come when we have nowhere else to go.
