Barrister Ishtiaq Ahmed Memon, Vice-Chairman, Sindh Bar Council, and Mr. Abdul Razzaque Mahar, Acting Chairman Executive Committee, Sindh Bar Council, strongly condemn the brutal and murderous attack perpetrated against Mr. Abdul Qadeer Mahar, Senior Advocate, and his family members, in which they sustained serious injuries.

Such a heinous act of violence is not only an attack on innocent citizens but also a direct assault on the legal fraternity and the rule of law.

The Sindh Bar Council expresses its profound concern over the increasing incidents of violence against members of the legal fraternity and their families.

The Sindh Bar Council calls upon the Government of Sindh, the Inspector General of Police, Sindh, and all concerned law enforcement agencies to immediately register the case, conduct a fair, transparent and impartial investigation and apprehend all those involved without delay.

Barrister Ishtiaq Ahmed Memon, Vice-Chairman, Mr. Abdul Razzaque Mahar, Acting Chairman Executive Committee on the pointation of Mr. Amel Kasi, Mr. Azhar Hussain Abbasi learned Members Sindh Bar Council, strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Mastung, Balochistan, in which worthy District & Sessions Judge Abdul Hameed Kakar and his security guard embraced martyrdom, while an Additional District & Sessions Judge sustained injuries.

Such cowardly acts of terrorism are a direct attack on the administration of justice, the judiciary, and the rule of law.

The Sindh Bar Council expresses its profound grief over the martyrdom of District & Sessions Judge Abdul Hameed Kakar and his security guard, extends its heartfelt condolences to their bereaved families, and prays for the early and complete recovery of the injured Additional District & Sessions Judge.

The Council also expresses complete solidarity with the judiciary and the people of Balochistan in this difficult time.

The Sindh Bar Council demands from the Federal Government, the Government of Balochistan and all concerned law enforcement agencies to immediately apprehend the perpetrators, conduct a comprehensive investigation, strengthen security for members of the judiciary and the public, and bring all those responsible for this heinous terrorist attack to justice in accordance with law.

The Sindh Bar Council further expresses its complete solidarity with the Balochistan Bar Council and the legal fraternity of Balochistan and supports all lawful measures aimed at safeguarding the judiciary, maintaining peace, and upholding the supremacy of the rule of law.

Barrister Ishtiaq Ahmed Memon, Vice Chairman, Sindh Bar Council, and Mr. Ayaz Hussain Tunio, Chairman Executive Committee, Sindh Bar Council, strongly condemn the highly inappropriate, offensive and derogatory remarks allegedly made by the Medical Superintendent, District Headquarters Hospital, Tando Muhammad Khan, against the learned Advocates of the District Bar Association, Tando Muhammad Khan, during the meeting of the Criminal Justice Coordination Committee held on 21st July, 2026.

Such conduct is wholly unacceptable and undermines the dignity, honour and prestige of the legal fraternity.

The Sindh Bar Council calls upon the competent Health Authorities to take immediate notice of the matter, conduct a fair inquiry and initiate appropriate action in accordance with law.

The Medical Superintendent is also urged to tender an unconditional public apology to the legal fraternity for his alleged remarks.

Barrister Ishtiaq Ahmed Memon, Vice-Chairman, Sindh Bar Council, and Mr. Ayaz Hussain Tunio, Chairman Executive Committee, Sindh Bar Council, strongly condemn the brutal murder of Mr. Bheero S/O Aalam Kolhi near Hameer Faqeer Mor, Zardari Farm, within the jurisdiction of Police Station Khahi, Taluka Khipro, District Sanghar.

According to learned Advocate Raj Kumar Kolhi, no effective legal action has so far been taken against the persons involved in the incident, due to which fear and insecurity have spread in the area, while the bereaved family continues to face serious threats and remains without adequate protection.

The Sindh Bar Council demands from the Inspector General of Police, Sindh, SSP Sanghar, and other concerned authorities to ensure the immediate arrest of the accused persons, conduct a fair, impartial, and transparent investigation, provide adequate protection to the bereaved family, and bring the culprits before the competent Court of law without any further delay.

Barrister Ishtiaq Ahmed Memon, Vice-Chairman, Sindh Bar Council, and Mr. Ayaz Hussain Tunio, Chairman Executive Committee, Sindh Bar Council, strongly condemn the alleged registration of FIR No. 532/2026 at Police Station Sumbal, Islamabad, against learned Advocate Supreme Court Mr. Altaf Hussain Chandio in connection with possession of a pistol.

According to the learned Advocate, the pistol in question is lawfully possessed under a valid arms licence; however, he has been falsely implicated in the said FIR with mala fide intention and ulterior motives.

The Sindh Bar Council demands from the Federal Minister for Law and Justice, the Inspector General of Police, Islamabad Capital Territory, and other concerned authorities to immediately take notice of the matter, conduct a fair, impartial, and transparent inquiry, and take strict legal action against all persons responsible for misuse of authority in accordance with law.
